Das ist ein modernes, hochtechnisches, modernstes Hotel am entspannten Nordende von Argostoli. Das bedeutet nicht, es ist kalt und klinisch - ganz im Gegenteil! Es ist eines der gebräuchlichsten Hotels, die wir jemals gehabt haben. Wir hatten ein sehr warmes Willkommen von Martine und Petros, und wurden auf eine oberste Etage Suite - die gleiche Art von Suite, die wir gebucht hatten, aber mit besserer Aussicht. Diese Suiten sind erstaunlich - die absolute Oberfläche von Komfort, Komfort und Luxus. Sie lernen bald Ihren Weg um die Technologie - einschließlich der Öffnung der Gärten mit einem Schalter durch Ihr Bett! Der Jacuzzi auf dem Balkon war ein erster für uns! Es gibt eine sehr gut gelagerte Minibar und reichlich Zubehör zu ergänzenden Tee, Kaffee und Wasser. Die Zimmer sind zweimal täglich voll serviert. Es gibt eine große Dusche und eine der komfortablesten Betten, die wir jemals geschlafen haben. Dann kommt Frühstück, serviert von der wunderschönen Kristina. Ganz ehrlich, es ist das wunderbar reichlich veränderte Menü, das wir in jedem Hotel, in jedem Land angeboten haben! Alles ist eine la carte und gekocht, um zu bestellen. Es ist einfach zu viel zu essen! Ich habe erwähnt, dass ich Loukanika (grekische Sausages) gefallen habe und am nächsten Morgen waren sie dort! In den Abenden haben sie nicht ihr eigenes Restaurant, aber ihr kürzlich geöffnetes Schwesterhotel wenige Meter entfernt hat ein ausgezeichnetes, mit Tische am Wasser und einem großen 'modernen-Griechenen' Menü. Der Kanal ist in jeder Hinsicht ein außergewöhnliches Hotel. Wenn Sie nach einem Luxusplatz in Kefalonia suchen, suchen Sie nicht weiter!

We arrived in the dark and initial thoughts were, this doesn't feel like a 4 star establishment, especially when we had to make our own way to the room - thankful to the torch on the phone. Initial thoughts on the room, somewhat disappointed compared to our usual stays - beds very firm, pillows (no pillow menu here!) hard, room spacious and bathroom clean but not inspiring or with any additional items other than soap. We went half-board, thought the price differential wasn't that much, but the evening meal, very average. In the end we went out most evenings as there are plenty of really nice local establishments, most within walking distance although we got taxis home. Breakfast, we stayed 10 nights, again, average in my view and what was very annoying was the regular lack of English breakfast tea. The staff, have to say they were friendly and very helpful and the rooms were kept well cleaned. Drink prices, reasonable although we went out a lot and there were 2 supermarkets very close by for room provisions. We had to pay local tax in cash when we arrived, no problem with that but very surprised as many others have said on departure, you are required to clear your room by 11am and many flights leave much later than that. If you want a shower, then that's 10 Euros each, otherwise get changed in the toilet. Also, one change of beach towel per week each or another 2 Euros for a change. Just felt cheap to us, not found that anywhere else in the world where we have stayed. Overall we really enjoyed the holiday, with most of the time away from the hotel, probably used the pool 3 times, it was good but not exactly exciting and for some, the deep end was nearly 6 foot - fine for me but others found it a struggle. Svoronata itself, a nice place to stay although quite quiet. Plenty of restaurants and great sunsets with more sandy beaches than the rest of the island. We are very likely to return to the island in the future, but we wouldn't be coming back to Astra village.

We had a fantastic 8 night stay here. The pool is lovely with plenty of sunbeds, we really enjoyed the double beds as they were so comfy, I was happy to lie there all day! You can also get food and drink brought to you while you’re around the pool which we loved. Staff are very friendly and attentive. We stayed in a deluxe room which was spotless and comfortable, with a gorgeous double sink and shower. Breakfast was delicious, and the seating area had a lovely sea view. The hotel is in a good location only a short walk into Lassi where there are plenty of restaurants and shops. It’s also very close to a couple of different beaches. But I would recommend getting a car to explore the rest of the island as it’s so beautiful. The hotel also has car parking which is good. Overall a beautiful hotel and I would recommend to anyone! We will be back :)

(English version below) Ein attraktives mittelgrosses Hotel mit attraktiven Stränden um die Ecke, nahe bei Argostoli und dem Flughafen, gutes Infrastrukturangebot in der Umgebung (Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Ausflugsziele etc.). Wir hatten eine Junior Suite, die uns in Stil und Design gut gefallen hat. Das gilt übrigens für das ganze Hotel. Sehr freundliches Personal, immer hilfsbereit, erwähnen möchten wir insbesondere den Barmann Dimitris, der immer einen guten Tipp für Ausflüge, Restaurants und dergleichen hat. Das Frühstück war anständig, hat aber unter der Prozessoptimierung gelitten: Der Kaffee aus dem Selbstbedienungsautomat ist fad und wässrig, das Früchteangebot ist etwas gar beschränkt, der Orangensaft wird mit Eiswürfeln gestreckt (bei Vollbelegung). In vielen Aspekten scheint uns das Hotel eine Auffrischung nötig zu haben. Die Klimaanlage ist bei 35 Grad Celsius überlastet. Der Dampfabzug in den Junior Suites ist funktionslos. Und die Dusche ist zwar stylish, aber teilweise dysfunktional. Insgesamt scheint uns das Leivatho keine 4 Sterne zu verdienen, wir würden es bei 3 Sternen Superior einordnen. Trotz einigen Mängeln haben wir schöne Urlaubstage im Leivatho verbracht. Overrated, but still nice An attractive mid-sized hotel with attractive beaches nearby, close to Argostoli and the airport, good infrastructure in the area (restaurants, shopping, excursions, etc.). We had a junior suite, which we liked in style and design. By the way, this is true for the whole hotel. Very friendly staff, always helpful, we would like to mention in particular the barman Dimitris, who always has a good suggestion for excursions, restaurants and the like. Breakfast was reasonable, but clearly suffered from process optimization: The coffee from the self-service machine is bland and watery, the fruit offer is rather limited, the orange juice is blended with ice cubes. In many aspects, the hotel seems to us to be in need of a refresh. The air conditioning is overstrained at 35 degrees Celsius. The steam vent next tot he bed in the junior suites is non-functional. And the shower, while stylish, is partially dysfunctional. Overall, the Leivatho doesn't deserve 4 stars; we'd rank it at 3 stars superior. Despite some shortcomings, we had a nice vacation at the Leivatho.

This Hotel is in a very quiet rural area of the Island near the small village of Spartia. Transportation (Car/Scooters) absolutely necessary, even the nearest beach (small) is 25 minutes or more, walk away. Having said that the peace and quiet is lovely. The Hotel is typical of the Greek Islands, a little dated. The rooms are clean and spacious. Not enough wardrobe space for two people in double room. The air conditioning is good and they have a safe. The showers in the bathrooms have little room, especially when fitted with a screen (they don't all have one). When the hotel started getting busier towards the end of our stay the 'hot' water was not always available, but warm enough I suppose. The balconies are very small and where you have a bigger Terrace, this is sometimes outside the front of your room and may not be private. Breakfast was basic, buffet style. The hot food sometimes had sat around too long, but sometimes when asked provided on a call basis. They do also proved a limited Lunch and Dinner menu, again fairly basic. The Pool area is lovely and there was a lot of chairs and sunbeds and was mainly empty whilst we were there. There is a gym in the basement and a sauna near the pool which didn't work. With transport, everywhere is easy to get to, Argostoli can be reached in a car in 20 minutes or so, as is the Airport. There are some restaurants nearby, but again all need transport. the one in Spartia 'Cavo Liakas' is very good and with a 20 minute walk can be reached on foot. The family and staff are friendly and will accommodate requests and sort out issues. I had a good stay

This is a gret hotel! The rooms have AC, which is must. Our room had a little kitchen too. Beds are comfortable. You get a safe with a key in your room. The maid refreshes towles etc each day. They provide pool towels. The hotel is clean in all areas. It is 3min walk to the super crystal clear waters of Skala beach, a 2 min walk to the first restaurant and a 9min walk in to central Skala.The staff are so welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is varied but always hits the spot. Theo, the pool barman is a legend and looks after you. The Pool bar offers snacks from a cheese tostie for 4 euros upto chicken Gyros for 12.5 euros. All the ususal drinks available from Mythos beer on tap to proper coffee depending on your mood. We went away for a week to just chill out and the hotel made sure that happened. When I go back to Kefalonia I will 100% staye here.
