Alley Boutique Hotel and Spa

We stayed at the Alley Hotel in June 2023, for 1 week. It is located between the harbour and the main square in Argostoli town, easy walking distance from the ferry and from the shops and restaurants. The hotel is well run, the rooms are spacious, well maintained and clean, and are serviced daily. Breakfast was well presented, and there was a good variety of items to chose from. All the staff were friendly, helpful, and professional, nothing was too much trouble for them. I would recommend this hotel, and would stay here again.

Great location, almost everything in Argostoli is short walk away from the hotel. The staff are incredibly friendly and proficient. Although our room was a standard one it was a decent size with a nice bathroom. It was all we needed as we were out all day anyway. Breakfasts were good. Probably too much cake available which is not my thing at that time of day. Toaster needed replacing and I wasn't crazy about the little sausages but the bacon and scrambled egg was good. No parking for the hire car but there is plenty of places we found close by. We drove all over the island and there is other pretty villages but in the end we were pleased we stayed in the capital. Turtles swimming about while you drink your coffee. Best beach for sand is the one just over the hill called Makris Gialos(5 mins in the car).

The Alley Hotel & Spa is an absolute gem in Argostoli city centre . We enjoyed everything about this place . The staff , the scents , the food , the drinks , the spa. Taking into consideration that this is a family style hotel we loved hoe everyone from the staff tried their best to please us . The rooms as of 2023 are all remodeled and fresh . Stylish gold faucets give a room a different touch . Very cosmopolitan . The TV was absolutely a great experience with wide satelite chanel options . we will be back soon .

We stayed at The Alley one week ago and the rooms were lovely. We were very disappointed to find that the hotel bar and restaurant weren’t open. Despite the closed facilities, we were still charged full price. We didn’t complain and accepted that sometimes these things happen. The problem we have is that we have been charged twice for a two night stay. We have been charged more than €1000 for two nights. The hotel still haven’t refunded the extra charge and are not calling us back and won’t pick up the phone. I would advise checking your bank statement upon leaving.

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome. Our room 306 was amazing with a lovely view out to sea. This hotel is clean, comfortable and in a perfect location. The reception staff were so helpful and gave us the best recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. Booking us taxis when needed and ensuring we understood directions when we asked for them. Breakfast was lovely and it was fresh and lots of choice each day. Would highly recommend and would come back again.

What a delightful hotel; amazing rooms & definitely worth upgrading to one with a balcony for the view of the rooftops & lagoon; really comfortable bed; lovely shower; lots of space; kept spotlessly clean by the staff; all staff very hospitable & very helpful & ensuring you have everything you need; stayed for 6 nights in October 2023; Agostoli is the capital so no beach but lovely walks & the ferry to Lixouri & the bridge of course & you can walk up over the hill to the other side where there are some amazing beaches; you could certainly stay in the Alley in Agostoli for a two or three centre holiday in Kefalonia; the island has many parts to explore

We had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary in Kefalonia. The staff were super friendly and attentive, with some fantastic recommendations and created an itinerary for us! (Beaches near Zola Village, The Olive Lounge by the castle to name a few). The room was perfect and very clean. Would highly recommend a stay here for anyone wanting to base themselves in the heart of the island :)

The team at The Alley Hotel were AAA+. From beach to restaurant recommendations and anything in between they were there to accomodate. AAA+ for the breakfast and the location of the hotel in Argostoli. After the beach you parked the car and were in 5-10 walking distance to a countless restaurants. The room was extremely spacious with a huge open shower. The on site gym had ever modern amenity needed for a complete workout. AA+ for beach towels every day. The bed and pillows could been more comfortable as I prefer a softer mattress but I HIGHLY recommend this hotel

We had a great stay at The Alley Hotel - the deluxe loft suite had plenty of room, appeared to be recently renovated, and also included a clean veranda with outdoor seating and a lovely view of the marina. The staff at the hotel were all so incredibly friendly, polite and helpful - including the reception team, cleaners and restaurant staff - and were more than happy to recommend things to do during our stay. The location is really convenient - just a few steps from the main square in Argostoli, as well as the marina-front. Breakfast was included in the price and featured an assortment of Greek specialities alongside classic breakfast items. Upon check-in, we were told that we each had a welcome drink, which was a nice surprise! We also found out that the hotel loaned beach towels to its guests, at no extra cost. Some extra special thank yous are due: To Dora, who worked tirelessly to make sure we were happy with our breakfast in the morning and drinks in the evening. To the resident chef, who (upon learning that we were vegetarian) took it upon herself to prepare some extra special breakfast options for us each day of our stay. And to the reception staff, who called the car hire company on our behalf after another driver scraped the front of our car overnight while it was left in a free public car park. The hospitality we received at The Alley was outstanding, and based on this alone we would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Argostoli.
