We stayed here recently for two nights, having stayed before a few years back, as it is convenient for where our friends live in JLP. This time we were rather disappointed with the hotel. It does need refurbishing as the bathrooms are somewhat dated, although everything was in working order, which is something positive. Our room was large and clean but also rather dated. The hotel is quite noisy, with doors that bang and a very noisy lift which unfortunately was right next to our room and I would recommend you check this when booking in at Reception. Speaking of Reception, the staff were always busy taking telephone calls and rushing around, hence it was difficult to catch their attention - the most annoying thing for us was that we asked them if we could book a taxi back to the airport, to which they replied yes and we said we would organise this later in the day. When we got back to the hotel we asked for the taxi approximately 45 minutes before we needed it and the women on Reception said that she would book it. We waited a while for her confirmation and heard nothing, so asked her again, did you book the taxi (language barrier not helping) to which she replied that she had not............(she'd obviously forgotten) so then we asked her a third time to book the taxi and were getting worried as time was moving on and we had a flight to catch. She then told us the taxi would be 5 minutes but it never materialised and we had to ask a 4th time to which she replied it was not her fault that the taxi had not arrived and that she would "try again". Eventually she made a telephone call and (cutting it very fine) the taxi did arrive All this was very unprofessional from a hotel Reception.
