Hotels in Pulai, Johor Bahru

V8 hotel is around 25 mins drive from checkpoint. Location is not bad with Macdonald’s and KFC nearby, there are also a few kopithiam and cafe (eg Larkopi)10 mins away away. There is a dim sum restaurant across the road, opens at 10am (but google maps and restaurant signage says open at 7am) and their staffs are not punctual so waste of time. Only reason why I chose this hotel is they have a mini water playground and they have family suite with 2 beds for family of 4 (we have 2 young kids) I will not come back again as I found a few cockroaches in the room :)

Ich hatte vor kurzem die Freude, im Pulai Springs Resort zu bleiben, und es war wirklich eine erinnerelige Erfahrung! Von dem Moment, als wir ankamen, begrüßte das Personal uns mit warmer und außergewöhnlicher Gastfreundschaft, so dass wir uns zu Hause fühlen. Das Resort bietet eine breite Palette fantastische Einrichtungen, die unser Aufenthalt wirklich machten. Die Pools waren preisgebend, und es gab eine perfekte Mischung von entspannenden Räumen und Spaß Aktivitäten. Das Fitnesscenter verfügte über moderne Ausrüstung, die für den aktiven Aufenthalt in unserer Zeit großartig war.

Huge and clean room - there is a very nice burger joint downstairs worth trying. Can be quite noisy as the sound proofing isn’t very good - we stayed at level 15 and can hear the motorbike sound zooming through at night. The towels need to be upgraded and changed. Location is not very ideal as it’s not located any malls or any shopping area.

The overall experience was good but there were a few hiccups. First off, the customer service wasn't exactly on point. Since it’s a self check-in setup, I expected them to reach out with the check-in details, but nope, nothing. I had to chase them down myself on the day of the staycation. Sent a message, but the response was slow, ended up having to call them directly. Even then, the check-in instructions didn’t come right away, despite them saying they’d send it over quickly. I had to follow up again before they finally sent it over. It was honestly a bit of a hassle. Second off, the cleanliness was a total letdown. The living room had sunflower seeds all over likely the leftovers from whoever stayed before. It’s definitely a hygiene issue. However, the rest of the place was actually pretty decent. The bedroom was cozy and the bathroom was spotless. Plus, the location was super convenient and the overall vibe of the place was really nice once you settled in. It definitely had potential to be great if the small stuff like customer service and cleanliness got sorted out.

Whats good about this hotel is that there’s many food choices nearby and a gym right opposite! Will consider staying here again given the price. Oh they have youtube and netflix which is a plus point.

This hotel service is better than some of the same rank hotels, but I hope next time I come can make some improvement for the window.

Room is a bit dirty and toilet is not well cleaned. Price is quite cheap around the area but not much supper choices as surrounding were all shops, have to walk 5-10minutes for nearest stall.
