Das Hotel ist im Grundsatz in Ordnung, nicht sehr alt, sauber und gut zu erreichen. Das Personal ist sehr umständlich. Man will mit einem Online Self Check in sehr modern sein, verschickt aber die Email zum einchecken nicht am Abend vorher, sondern lässt die Kunden das per QR Code scan selbst machen, nachdem die Kunden sich umständlich ins Hotel WLAN angemeldet hat. Zusammenfassung: Während man sich also selbst eincheckt, schauen drei Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption zu und machen nichts, anstatt einfach die Gäste manuell in 2 min einzuchecken. So hat das einchecken ca. 25min gedauert.

It was such a lovely stay. The location is perfect as there is so much to do within the ****** that you don’t have to travel far. It was an awesome experience, very lovely and friendly staff! I would highly recommend it. Oh, and the breakfast was great!

I've stayed at the Pivot (Southern Sun as it was previously called) quite regularly since 2012. The Hotel was always recommended by business colleagues and customers, also quite popular with international sport teams. I travel for business. So the bad first: The Wi-Fi is absolutely atrocious, it's gone through a variety of iterations over the years but this has to be the worst performing hotel Wi-Fi i have experienced (in a city) for a very long time. It was pretty bad in November 2022 and we were told they were replacing the Wi-Fi and it wasn't finished and now March 2023 (I assume the people ran off), barely usable, which for business travel is a major problem and something the hotel should address. AirConditioning - It is pretty ancient, noisy and struggles in the heat. Restaurant Hours - Offers no flexibility and is possibly why it is quite lightly used, menu's have reduced, options reduced. There is the main Monte****** Complex within 5 mins walk which has lots of options. Room Amenities - There used to be water / can of fix in the fridge. Now just one water, I am pleased the cookies have still survived (albeit a lot smaller). The shower still leaks across the entire bathroom and the sinks have never looked that hygienic even from 2012 (square manually assembled). The Better: The rooms are clean and well maintained, very functional, the shower works but the pressure seems to have been reduced over the last couple of years and the shower heads need replacing / cleaning better. The Good: The beds are very comfortable, the pillows also good quality and the black out curtains ensure an undisturbed evening. The rooms do not pick up much external noise, so you are not disturbed by your neighbours or people in the corridors. The bar is good and service from the staff is generally very good, normally requests are dealt with very efficiently and the occasional time I have had to address an issue, was also dealt with quickly. The outside Pool is also lovely (cold) but weather permitting is a nice place, as well as the Pool Decking. Great location, lots of secure parking and generally a very safe location.

Die Umgebung ist sehr gut, die Dekoration ist eigentlich ok, aber immerhin sieht man es auch nach längerer Zeit noch, und der Gesundheitszustand ist ok, d.h. ein Kissen auf dem Sofa ist kaputt, und die Kissen im Zimmer Für die 21. Nacht nach Steuern muss die Erhöhung gut genutzt werden. Der Service war sehr gut. Egal ob die Kaution beim Check-In der Vorgängergeneration besprochen wurde oder später aufs Zimmer geführt wurde, es war sehr sanft und höflich. Viele Leute lobten das leckere Frühstück.

From the beginning of our visit we found the staff welcoming and eager to help in any way. The band that was playing was excellent and the outdoor lunch delicious with the waiter being a breath of fresh air with his attention to detail. The rooms were sizable and very comfortable and the rose petals and elephant towels a lovely touch. The evening meal was absolutely delicious and the therapists were fantastic!!!!! Morning breakfast was wide spread and very tasty. Booking out took minutes with big smiles and friendly service. Overall a wonderful visit which by no means will be my last.

Freundliche Mitarbeiter besonders in der Lounge ( Danke, Mrs. Fikile). Ansonsten bedürfen die Zimmer einer baldigen Renovierung. Sicherheitsgefühl ist hoch. Es werden halbstündlich kostenlose Shuttle zur Gautrain und zum Shopping Center angeboten. Frühstück ebenfalls gut. Drei Nächte für Joburg sind ausreichend. Klimaanlage im Raum mit trockener Luft. Fenster sind leider nicht zu öffnen. Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist insgesamt gut!. Der Fahrer Charles ist sehr freundlich und Service- orientiert.

I had a comforting and stress free time. I travelled with my new born and husband. We took a deluxe suite. Excellent service. Easy accessibility. During load shedding, good backup for electricity and water supply. Highly recommended. 5 Min ride to Sandton Center.
