Simple but everything you need. Staff kind and friendly. Room small but spotlessly clean and lovely bathroom. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast good. Dinner menu a bit limited but food provided was of good quality. Quiet at night and a safe environment.

Fantastic customer service and wholesome breakfastwith multiple options. The security in the facility topnotch and prompt response for room service. Reasonably priced cost of the rooms and great value for money. I will definitely come back.

I spent 2 nights. Nordic Villa had been recommended to me many times by friends so I had high expectations. Describes its self as a boutique hotel with a personal touch. Positives - good location, quiet neighbourhood, very clean. Good coffee at breakfast (select the ‘coffee exclusive’ from the breakfast menu) Negatives The most unwelcoming reception staff ever - I arrived late afternoon, no help with my bags from taxi to reception, asked to sit then left there while the reception staff (duty manager?) had a conversation with a staff member that didn’t sound that urgent. The gentleman at the reception did it smile once the 4 times I interacted with him during my stay (I always smile and say hello so it was a very off putting experience. He muttered under his breath in response to questions so I had to keep asking him to repeat his answer. My room was at the back of the hotel and was accessed by walking round the outside of the building to a back door. The room (The Oslo) is apparently next to the utility are as I had to deal with noisy exchanges from staff at all times including someone washing the windows of my room with a power hose at 10pm at night (stopped when I complained). No coffee / tea making facilities in the room. At my request I got a kettle and a cup, nothing else (fortunately I brought my own coffee). Breakfast was interesting - complimentary continental breakfast - select one item from each group but grouped in a way that you had to order an extra to get a decent meal. Coffee or juice (couldn’t have both); eggs or fruit (couldn’t have both). Kitchen staff were friendly though. I paid cash for the breakfast extra and had to insist on change and a receipt. On my departure I got no help with my luggage and had to drag my large suitcases from my room at the back round the outside of the hotel to the car park at the front. Disappointing experience. I don’t think I will be returning any time soon.

The check-in experience was very straightforward forward. Very friendly staff - Caleb and Victor. They made had a very welcoming demeanor. I stayed in the Lund room. Very specious suite. The bed and pillows where very comfortable. Neatly arranged furniture and decor. The bar and kitchen were open till very late. Highly recommend. Although I had to check out very early (6am, before breakfast was served), the staff were gracious enough to offer a take away pack with fruits and pastries, which I declined.

The environment was serene. My room is quite clean and has a soothing effect. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would like to maintain relationship with the Villa so my Corporate can collaborate with the Villa with discounts when our clients/ members visit Abuja.

Normally this would be a nice hotel. Right now it is not. It is a construction site. I arrived on October 23 and left on October 29, 2023. During this time half of the foyer and restaurant space were unusable. And there was no wifi. These things would be understandable and tolerated had there been any communication from management, but there was none. A Snickers and a can of Sprite with a handwritten apology on my last day does not make up for the treatment we had. I invite management to state here when they perceive the work will be done. Until that time I feel that potential guests should have the right to know that the hotel’s common spaces are practically unusable and there is no WiFi. Management should buy a dongle so that guests can have some kind of wifi. I did say that if this was done I would not post this review but this was not done so here we are. My room was very nice and so was that of my colleagues. No problem at all there. Also the staff are all very nice. This will be resolved (I assume at some point in November or December) but until then I advise against booking without written reassurance on the state of the property.

My stay at The Nordic Villa gave me a home away from home feeling. The serene environment and ambience, I love all the lovely and beautiful plants view, that I get to see all around. To anyone planning a business or leisure trip to Abuja, Book The Nordic Villa and you will thank me later. Overall experience is top notch!

Very unfriendly staff and especially the lady staff. Point of being rude. Nothing special about the accommodation and I would not stay there again. You have to even pay for your own slipper. They don’t tell you it’s not complimentary and all in all not worth it. Breakfast also is not nice

Let's be honest, west Africa is a developing region so we cannot compare to the silly luxurious hotels further north west or east..but NVH is just one of those magic little gems that shines bright....away from the ostentatious unreliable gaudiness of the usual big hotel chains, this precious boutique hotel is wonderfully peaceful, spotlessly clean and you sleep like a baby....Hot water, fresh towels, crisp sheets, polished tiled floors and solid safe storage..this place has all that you need and more. 24 HR security, fully enclosed off a quite street. It's clientele are mostly professionals passing through Abuja...hardworking serious people..there are no drunks or loud nights here...but they have a little bar for those who care to have a little nice cap and a chat on the veranda. It's a serene oasis a mere 10 minutes from entral areas like Maitama and 2 minutes to the best venue in Abuja for nice food, dinks and a few hours by the pool. This is the big surprise as NVH offers a modest menu..but just nearby with free hotel shuttle you can have a great meal and relax at Bluecabana, since as a client of NVH you get complementary access to poll and gym. During my month long stay I got the best of service from the kind gentle and welcoming staff... especially the lovely Helen! I have to say, I am reluctant to say anything more as I would dearly love to keep this place a secret..but it would be a shame to deprive others of the opportunity. AS ABUJA GOES, an expensive city with few genuinely good options, this place is definitely a cut above the pack...8.5/10. I wish them lots of success, they deserve it.

I am presently staying at The Nordic Villa in The room Copenhagen. I am having the worst hotel experience here. I Woke up this morning to have a shower and first of all the shower head is tiny and there was no water pressure. I called reception and complained and was told that maintenance would come. After 30 minutes I called as nothing was done. Eventually they came up and saw my complaint. I asked for a bucket so I could bath and head out, the staff brought up a dirty old paint bucket that is obviously used for odd jobs. I totally lost it and screamed that how can you expect me to bathe with that bucket. The time is 12:11pm and we have been on this matter since 11am. Today is February 1, 2022. I am going to go to a friends house to bathe and get on with my day. Going to ask for a refund and check out of this hotel. Packing up now to leave.

Spending nights here make me not wanna go home. It feels homely, less populated and most of all, the internet is awesome. I just think they are getting relaxed in management. Laundry service isnt as swift as should be. Complementary Breakfast, awesome. The bed and sheets extra comfy
