We literally had to buy our own pillowcases. They said they didn’t have 3 pillowcases for the 3 pillows in our apartment and just expected me to understand. They couldn't have bought some with part of the $940 I paid them??? They also gave us only 1 elevator access card for 2 people. They won’t give more than 1 card per apartment even if 4 people are staying in it. It caused a ton of issues because the front desk wouldn't keep it for us so whoever returned first could use it since they don't want to deal with issues related to New Inn -- even maintenance. Speaking of which, our refrigerator stopped working, and it took over 16 hours to get a maintenance worker to fix it. They also gave us only 3 pillows for 2 people and 2 bath towels for 2 people. My husband and I each use 2 pillows, and I use 2 bath towels (1 for hair). Finally, there was mold growing in the shower when we arrived. They kept saying I didn't understand that this wasn't a hotel but rather an "Airbnb business," but it isn't like a mom 'n' pop thing. This is a company with units in 12 buildings across Istanbul -- they kept using that as an excuse for why they couldn’t do things like fix the refrigerator or bring a drying rack sooner. They offer poor management and poor service and use the "it is not like a hotel" line as their excuse. They used to be great even a few months ago when my husband stayed at Roya Nova alone but just nosedived in recent months. We will never stay at one of their properties again.
