Disappointed that key fobs for the garage car park are no longer given out like the previous 2 times we have stayed in the apartments. Having to get out of the car to operate shutter was an inconvenience. In addition the ground floor lobby lift button was missing for 5 days of the stay with meant having to go up/downstairs to call lift as was travelling with someone who couldn't use the stairs, this was another major inconvenience which they seemed in no rush to fix. There was also loud music from somewhere below coming into the 1st Floor apartment until 2am some nights, I can only assume this is from one of businesses, I hadn't experienced this before on previous stays so must be something new, however as far as I'm aware there is no live music venue in the building???

I've been coming to this hotel for around 20 years, initially on business and now for leisure, and I visit every few years. In that time not much has changed, apart from the ownership. The hotel is still a beautiful building set in tranquil and wonderful grounds. The downstairs interior is stately and is tastefully decorated with an elegant bar, Lounge and Restaurant. Staff on Reception are polite and helpful But the hotel isn't without its issues which are 1) The bedroom furniture has been the same on every visit over the last 20 years and is showing its age 2) The carpet in the room we were given was actually threadbare in places and isn't what you expect 3) The lady waiting tables at breakfast is a joy. She is attentive, polite and helpful. The same cannot be said of the older gentleman working there who is ignorant and ignores people waiting to be seated. There is no need to be so rude and dismissive of people of all nationalities who are basically paying his wages ! 4) My biggest grumble of all is the lack of a premium lager in the hotel bar. Under previous management in the early 2000's they used to stock 1664 but now it's Carling (yuk!), Guinness, Scots ale or Cider. I would have spent a lot more time in there had they stocked better beer. That's a real own goal and other guests are of the same opinion.

Generally acceptable and clean hotel. However, I was almost tricked by being given a room that’s “HALF-CUT” by the rooftop. Essentially an attic (picture 1) at first. There are actually plenty of normal empty rooms being cleaned as I could see walking to the elevator. I asked the front desk if I could be re-arranged and they gave me another room. Pretty bad experience as I felt discriminated and tricked for unknown reason. I asked a fellow customer who checked in around the same day and he didn’t get allocated the attic room.

Das Hotel ist alt, die lokale Architektur zu machen, aber Ihre Anlagen sind in perfekten Bedingungen. Ich fand einen Anruf! Sehr erfreuten Ansprechpartner. Es gibt keine eigene Parkplätze, aber keine Arbeit. Es gibt eine öffentliche Parkplätze nur wenige Meter, die 5 £ pro Tag zahlen.

Freundliches und effizientes Personal. Das Zimmer war groß und komfortabel. Das Dekor ist vielleicht etwas veraltet, aber wir hatten das Glück, einen Blick auf den Fluss zu haben. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut, aber nicht so ein Fan des Tick-Box-Menüs. Die Zeit, die das Personal benötigt, um zu erklären, zu prüfen und Änderungen vorzunehmen, könnte damit verbracht werden, nur Bestellungen aufzunehmen. Ich kann verstehen, dass es für das Personal in Stoßzeiten oder bei großen Gruppen bequemer ist.

Großer Service und etwa einen 15-20 Minuten zu Fuß vom Bahnhof. Das Bett ist ziemlich komfortabel und das Badezimmer ist eine gute Größe 👍

The room is spacious and clean. The only hiccup was that, at first, we got a room with a double bed despite booking a family room on Trip.com. When I asked the reception staff, she said there was no family room per se in the building, and in the booking that they had, it didn't say that I wanted a family room or how many people would be sleeping in the room. For them, a family room is a room with a double bed and an extra bed. The staff managed to change our room to one with an extra bed ready, so it wasn't a problem.

Ich habe jetzt 2 Mal am Priory geblieben und werde wieder zurückkehren. Das ist ein Familienhotel und das ist in der hohen Standard der Unterkunft und Service reflektiert. Das Personal ist höflich und professionell und klar auf dem Ball. Das Restaurant ist sensibler Preis und bietet ein fantastisches Menü und hochwertiges Essen. Sie können sagen, das Restaurant ist beliebt, weil es ein besetzter Ort ist, bewahrt von Nicht-Bewohnern aus der Region, sowie Hotelgästen. Es gibt auch keine separate, mehr informelle Bar mit vernünftigerweise preisgünstigen Getränken. Das Hotel scheint sich stolz auf den Standard der Kundenbetreuung.
