What a delightful B&B! Charming, tasteful touches of Scotland throughout the establishment add to a warm and welcoming scene. Our room (#11) can accommodate 4 - including bunk beds. Even the lampshades are made from authentic Scottish T****. The hosts thought of everything. From tea and biscuits, to QR codes for WiFi connection, local map, and breakfast menu. The breakfast room is bright with large windows and the servers were all pleasant and attentive. The food was delicious and filled us for a full day of exploring. Parking is tight but off street, allowing for east access to things if needed. The stroll into town for the evening took us alongside the rushing river, across the beautifully lit bridge, and in the heart of pubs, restaurants, and shopping. It was incredibly convenient. Fabulous place, people, food— we will be back!

Großer Service und etwa einen 15-20 Minuten zu Fuß vom Bahnhof. Das Bett ist ziemlich komfortabel und das Badezimmer ist eine gute Größe 👍

Disappointed that key fobs for the garage car park are no longer given out like the previous 2 times we have stayed in the apartments. Having to get out of the car to operate shutter was an inconvenience. In addition the ground floor lobby lift button was missing for 5 days of the stay with meant having to go up/downstairs to call lift as was travelling with someone who couldn't use the stairs, this was another major inconvenience which they seemed in no rush to fix. There was also loud music from somewhere below coming into the 1st Floor apartment until 2am some nights, I can only assume this is from one of businesses, I hadn't experienced this before on previous stays so must be something new, however as far as I'm aware there is no live music venue in the building???

The room is spacious and clean. The only hiccup was that, at first, we got a room with a double bed despite booking a family room on Trip.com. When I asked the reception staff, she said there was no family room per se in the building, and in the booking that they had, it didn't say that I wanted a family room or how many people would be sleeping in the room. For them, a family room is a room with a double bed and an extra bed. The staff managed to change our room to one with an extra bed ready, so it wasn't a problem.

Pro: 1. Extrem zentral in der Stadt und direkt neben dem Bahnhof gelegen. 2. Augenscheinlich saubere Zimmer. Kontra: 1. Komplette Einrichtung uralt und nicht mehr schön. 2. Dadurch alles sehr muffig, am Schlimmsten ist der Fahrstuhl, in dem man es kaum aushalten kann. 3. Rezeption nur mäßig freundlich. 4. Klospülung (wie schon oft beschrieben wurde) nicht ausreichend funkionstüchtig. 5. Kaum Steckdosen im Zimmer. 6. Zimmer war sehr klein und warm. 7. Wenn man das Fenster öffnet um der stickigen Luft zu entkommen, hört man lautstark Möwengeschrei, Menschen, den Verkehr und die regelmäßige Befüllung der Glascontainer unter Zimmer 111. 8. Das Doppelbett war extrem schmal. 9. Badezimmer ohne Fenster und vernünftige Belüftung, aber man durfte die Tür auch nicht offen lassen nach dem Duschen weil laut Beschilderung dann der Rauchmelder im Zimmer los gehen würde. Fazit: 1 Nacht kann man wohl machen aber Alternativen sollte man vorher unbedingt abwägen.

Sehr gut, die Lage ist direkt an der Autobahn

Die Hoteleinrichtungen sind komplett, auch wenn es in der Nähe des Flughafens ist, aber es ist immer noch sehr ruhig und ein gutes Hotel.

I've been coming to this hotel for around 20 years, initially on business and now for leisure, and I visit every few years. In that time not much has changed, apart from the ownership. The hotel is still a beautiful building set in tranquil and wonderful grounds. The downstairs interior is stately and is tastefully decorated with an elegant bar, Lounge and Restaurant. Staff on Reception are polite and helpful But the hotel isn't without its issues which are 1) The bedroom furniture has been the same on every visit over the last 20 years and is showing its age 2) The carpet in the room we were given was actually threadbare in places and isn't what you expect 3) The lady waiting tables at breakfast is a joy. She is attentive, polite and helpful. The same cannot be said of the older gentleman working there who is ignorant and ignores people waiting to be seated. There is no need to be so rude and dismissive of people of all nationalities who are basically paying his wages ! 4) My biggest grumble of all is the lack of a premium lager in the hotel bar. Under previous management in the early 2000's they used to stock 1664 but now it's Carling (yuk!), Guinness, Scots ale or Cider. I would have spent a lot more time in there had they stocked better beer. That's a real own goal and other guests are of the same opinion.
