"Für den Preis ist das Hotel unschlagbar. Leider ist der Transfer von Flughafen und der Check in (für Ausländer) sehr zäh. Um 1 Uhr nachts möchte man gerne schnell ins Bett aber es hat leider gedauert.
Das Zimmer ist groß und modern, leider recht hellhörig. Man hört die Straße und die Nachbarzimmer,
Das Gym ist ok aber auch nur das.
Waschmaschinen gibt es zwar, aber keine Trockner: Aldi sinnlos für kurze Aufenthalte. Der Transfer zum Flughafen ist an fixe Zeiten gebunden. Leider hat es mit unserem Abflug nicht gepasst also haben wir ein Taxi genommen.
Gut für eine Übernachtung zwischen 2 Flügen."

"Besser geht’s in dieser Preiskategorie eigentlich nicht. Schönes großes Zimmer mit Badezimmer und extra WC. Obwohl an einer befahrenen Straße, sind die Zimmer der oberen Etagen absolut ruhig und gut schallisoliert. Das Zimmer ist komfortabel, mit allem was man braucht und die Lage ist exzellent. Alles im Zentrum von Kuming ist zu Fuß oder per U-Bahn gut und schnell erreichbar. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und bemüht. Für ein paar Nächte eine Wohlfühloase, per Metro vom Airport gut und stressfrei erreichbar (Dongfeng Square Ausgang H)"

"Also Flughafen-Hotel sehr gut. Man kann zu Fuß gehen oder nimmt den kostenlosen Shuttle. Da ich aber keine China Sim-Card besitze, und ich nicht den Shuttle anrufen konnte, bin ich einen zu Fuß gegangen. Dauert vielleicht 10-15 Minuten.
Das Zimmer war groß und sauber. WLAN hat einigermaßen gut funktioniert.
Das Gym war leider ein Witz wenn man mehr als cardio machen möchte."

"Ich habe zuerst 3 Tage in anderen Hotels übernachtet und dann 3 Tage in diesem Hotel. Hier sind meine Gefühle:
1. Die Lage ist sehr gut, ganz in der Nähe von Green Lake und nicht weit von der U-Bahn-Station entfernt.
2. Die Dekoration entspricht den Angaben in den Online-Bewertungen. Sie ist älter (z. B. ist der Fernseher ein Flachbildfernseher mit bis zu 32 Zoll), aber die Wartung ist in Ordnung. Auch wenn Sie sich nicht darum kümmern, wird es in Ordnung sein Es.
3. Guter Service: Die Rezeption konnte dem Wunsch nach einem ruhigen Zimmer nachkommen, der Duschkopf im Badezimmer konnte nicht repariert werden und wurde sofort nach Mitteilung an die Rezeption repariert.
4. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig. Im vorherigen Hotel gab es sowohl westliches als auch chinesisches Essen und frisch gemahlenen Kaffee. Dieses Hotel hat beides und das chinesische Essen ist reichhaltiger. Es gibt auch zwei Sorten Joghurt, von denen eine hausgemacht und lecker ist. Außerdem hatten die beiden Hotels, in denen ich zu diesem Zeitpunkt übernachtet habe, ein Problem mit dem Frühstück, d.h. es gab jeden Tag zu wenig Abwechslung beim Frühstück und es war fast jeden Tag das Gleiche.
5. Die Zimmer sind größer, das mit 33 Quadratmetern gekennzeichnete ist viel größer als das mit 32 Quadratmetern gekennzeichnete im vorherigen Hotel. Zudem ist die Schalldämmung des Zimmers in Ordnung.
6. Das Fitnessstudio im 21. Stock verfügt über gute Geräte. Obwohl es nicht beliebt ist, hat es einen guten Blickwinkel und kann den Green Lake deutlich sehen."

Die Zimmer hier sind klein, sauber und hygienisch, mit neuen Einrichtungen und allen Utensilien. Das Frühstück ist im Restaurant im Abfluggeschoss im Obergeschoss inbegriffen. Auch der Service ist aufmerksam und enthusiastisch. Ein Manko gibt es zu erwähnen, da es sich im Flughafengebäude befindet und die Luft nicht frisch genug ist.

Die erstklassige Innenstadtlage des Hotels ist ein echtes Plus. Die Nanping Street, die Kunming Old Street sowie andere Einkaufsviertel und Sehenswürdigkeiten sind fußläufig erreichbar, sodass sowohl Sightseeing als auch Restaurants von hier aus bequem zu erreichen sind. Das Zimmer war makellos, die Betten bequem und dank der geschlossenen Fenster war ich völlig von Außengeräuschen abgeschirmt, was meinen Aufenthalt wirklich entspannend machte.
Ein besonderer Dank geht an die beiden hervorragenden Mitarbeiterinnen an der Rezeption: Judy, die einen professionellen und engagierten Service bot, den Check-in sehr effizient abwickelte und uns proaktiv die Annehmlichkeiten und die Umgebung des Hotels erklärte, sodass wir uns unglaublich willkommen fühlten.
Von der Ausstattung bis hin zur Liebe zum Detail war das Hotel tadellos. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder hier übernachten, wenn ich Kunming besuche!

GGastnutzerNach meiner Ankunft mit dem Zug suchte ich nach einer Übernachtungsmöglichkeit in der Nähe des Südbahnhofs von Kunming. Für einen Ausländer ist der Eingang des Hotels schwer zu finden. Das Zimmer selbst und die Bettwäsche sind sehr sauber, aber die Dusche und die Toilette sind etwas seltsam (man kann auf der Toilette sitzen und gleichzeitig duschen). Der Preis war sehr gut, also kann ich mich nicht zu sehr beschweren.

GGlenysMFairyland Shangpin Hotel in Kunming, is a really nice hotel, in a terrific location….. but as the extra bit in title mentions, is in a pedestrian street, therefore if you have a mountain of luggage, or mobility issues, or toddlers & babies to carry, you might want to think twice about booking here or in any other hotel in the pedestrian streets in the neighbourhood. It’s one of the fabulous features of the area, but you do need to be aware that vehicles are not allowed in this area….. AND …. the only way into the hotel is via a flight of stairs.
My Grab driver from the airport dropped me off where his gps directed him to, but it meant an overly long walk lugging my bag through crowds of tourists on a stinking hot Sunday arv on cobbled streets (obviously not designed when wheeled suitcases were invented!). I discovered the next day that Wuyi Rd subway station is really close to the hotel… less than a 5 minute walk away. Turn left outside the hotel entrance. Turn right at the corner (150m away), and one of the entrances to the subway is just along there on the right. When I looked it up, it turns out it takes half the time to & from the airport as it does by car and costs next to nothing, so I caught it to the airport (just 1 easy transfer along the way), and was really glad I did. It’s a pity the hotel doesn’t include that important info in its listing!
The hotel’s Reception & dining room staff are all super friendly and nice, and my room was really lovely, with a great shower, power points that my Australian hair straightener and phone chargers plugged straight into, and a big window that opens and which overlooks rooftops, alleyways, cafes, high-rises and lots more. There’s also a window beside every lift entrance, so you can all the locals dancing in the public square, which is just fabulous!
There is a laundry for guest use on the same floor as the breakfast room, but every time I checked, both machines were in use, so I wouldn’t count on getting any washing done if you’re only staying for a couple of days.
Loved wandering around the cobbled streets (from right outside the hotel), day & night. Lots to see & do. Lots of colour, lots of people (including all the locals folk dancing together in the square), lots of places to eat, drink and shop nearby. Highly recommend Fairyland Shangpin Hotel to those who are ok with walking (& pulling luggage) over cobblestones, and up & down stairs to and from the hotels entrances (one to the front door, and a second entrance near the lift). It’s worth it! ☺️

GGastnutzerDas Servicepersonal war sehr nett und gab mir ein kostenloses Upgrade auf das Zimmer im 17. Stock. Die Aussicht war sehr gut und ich konnte den Sonnenaufgang am Morgen sehen. Es gibt keine Klimaanlage im Zimmer, aber im April ist es in Kunming nachts sehr kühl, sodass es nicht sehr störend ist.

PPsymondDespite the convenient location, comfortable beds, and all-important quiet sleep we managed to get, the hotel's communication to arrange our pick up from the train station at night and what turned out to be a self-check-in was just dismal, clearly needing more training to ensure better organisation for future guests. The following constructive advice is to help the hotel improve and for (particularly foreign) guests to note:
1. Ask for guests' phone number and inform the driver well in advance of our arrival, instead of waiting till the very last minute to do so. We reached out to the hotel via WeChat the day before and rightfully received detailed instructions (in Chinese) to find the driver (the pick up service is actually outsourced to a separate company using 3 different vans), but once we found the van, the driver angrily insisted we call the hotel to identify us by confirming our phone number - we were not allowed to board without the hotel's confirmation, which should have been done directly with the driver well in advance of our arrival.
2. This hotel is not manned after hours, let alone 24 hours, so please make it known well beforehand that we will have to check in ourselves if arriving after hours, and provide clear instructions on how to do so instead of communicating them through the phone while guiding us using the security cameras. It is not the guests' responsibility to do your administrative work (to report ourselves to the authorities by scanning the police QR code and filling out our details) at 11 o'clock at night when we have an early morning train to catch the following day. The hotel should allow guests to enter the room as soon as possible upon arrival, not have us wait half an hour while they struggle with what was clearly their first time checking in foreign guests - worse still over the phone - insisting that this be done before we could enter our room.
3. If the hotel truly wants the patronage of foreign guests, they will have to prioritise our convenience and comfort over theirs by actually having someone check us in in-person. Remotely doing so to save costs is as absurd as expecting foreign guests to communicate our details over the phone, sending photos of ourselves, our passport details etc. via WeChat, and then finding our room card and the room by talking to someone over the phone in Chinese. At the very least, these requirements and instructions should be clearly produced and communicated beforehand so that nothing is improvised.
We hope the above experience helps improve what is a decent hotel providing good value for money.

RrabbikDas Hotel ist nicht schlecht, aber schwer zu finden. Die Karten zeigen einen völlig anderen Ort. Das Zimmer war sauber, bis auf ein wenig Schimmel im Badezimmer. Das Zimmer ist recht geräumig und gemütlich, aber im Winter ist es trotzdem besser, ein Zimmer mit Klimaanlage zu nehmen. Es war sehr kalt im Zimmer, aber die Decke rettete die Situation. Das Schlimmste war im Badezimmer - es war sehr kalt, die Handtücher trockneten nicht. Das Wasser fließt sehr laut durch die Rohre, daher ist es besser, abends zu waschen, um die Nachbarn nicht zu stören :) Das Personal ist sehr freundlich! Insgesamt sind die Eindrücke positiv. Mir gefiel, dass das Hotel in der Nähe der Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt lag. Ich würde wieder hierher kommen 😁
