The hotel was OK, but the reception staff was extremely unfriendly. Although the hotel accepts families with children, the receptionist didn’t want to check me in, even though I had noted in my special request that I was traveling with a 3-year-old child. Furthermore, she attempted to charge me for the room a second time, despite it already being paid for. She made no effort to resolve the issue, instead telling me that I did not pay for the room and I should fix the problem myself. Fortunately, Trip.com’s customer service resolved the problem, but I had to wait 40 minutes to check in with a young child—with no assistance from the hotel. Perhaps the receptionist was having a bad day, but it’s hard to understand why hotels hire staff who seem uninterested in helping guests. Other staff members that I met at the hotel were quite friendly.
