A conveniently located hotel right next to the JR station. Rooms are clean, plenty of eateries & shopping within the vicinity. The beds are hard which will work for people who prefer harder beds. It’s also a short walk to the Kokura Castle. A great base for people planning to travel to the kitakhyshu region.

Die Hoteleinrichtungen sind weniger modern, aber gut gepflegt und sauber. Es war nahe dem JR-Station mit Walking-Brücke-Verbindung. Der Empfänger für unser Eincheckenverfahren machte einige Fehler bei der Berechnung der Stadtsteuer und erklärte uns überhaupt nicht die Berechnung. Das Problem wurde später bei der Auscheckung gelöst, aber es dauerte eine Weile, um mit dem Personal in Englisch zu kommunizieren.

the hotel is closing to the JR Station, it is just walking within 7 minutes from the station, it is very convenience for the travelers. Moreover, the front desk stuff is very nice and cheerful, and can response to the customer's queries promptly. The check in and check out process is very smooth and quick. When inside the room, the facilities is fine and clean, have a big working desk and enough light for the traveler when working is required with their computer. The Wi-Fi network is okay. Furthermore, the breakfast is fine and have lot of varieties for the guest to choose. the restaurant staff's service is nice. Also, there are lot of different restaurants which located around the hotel. Highly recommend to come back again in the next time.

I am more than satisfied for my two-night stay at Hotel LiVEMAX Kokura. Not only does it have an excellent location (right next to Kokura Station), it is equipped with a microwave in each individual room. The room is clean, spacious, and bright. I cannot ask for more as it is truly a value for money hotel. If I ever visit Japan again, I will definitely put Hotel LiVEMAX first on my list.

1. Very spacious room for this price point to be honest. Could be because it's not a major city... 2. Kitchen equipment like induction cooker and pot and bowls and utensils were provided! Makes it possible to cook your own meals (or even just Maggie mee) fridge was very big so can buy drinks to store 3. Location was alright. Located along small alley but very near main road leading to shopping street and Kokura station. 4. Aircon and heater worked well. Great for winter weather 5. Bathroom ventilator was very strong. To the extent that it feels very cold after taking a shower. We tried closing the bathroom door at night and it was literally like a freezer in the morning when we open it. But also because of the ventilator, our clothes dried fast indoors 🥶 6. Now to the pain points. First got to be the facility management and check in check out process. This property does auto check in meaning there is no physical staff to handle your check in check out throughout. There is no receptionist at all. I made my booking 2- 3 hours prior to arriving at property. At the front door we were prompted to input entry passcode which we had no idea what it was (it's not the reservation number provided by the booking partner like Agoda or trip.com) tried to contact both the hotel helpline (there was a Jp phone number at the entrance but that's all, no other info whatsoever) and also escalated to Agoda (as I made my booking through Agoda for first nights) but no ans. In the end we had to enter property when someone unlocked the front entrance using her own passcode before we could speak to the helpdesk through the tablets. So it turns out that they claim most travellers would make their reservation at least a day prior to arrival, which was why system didn't capture my booking (yet ironically they allowed booking for same day check in .... When they clearly cannot manage the whole process) shouldn't there be more effort being put in to monitor for same day booking so the traveller doesn't get stuck at the front entrance especially in winter weather? We had to sit at the park nearby while trying to contact the helpdkesks but couldn't get through till the end...... The whole check in process was rather manual, basically you enter the info as prompted on screen then video call the helpline agent to verify before you'll get your passcode to your room. (All through tablet) Security seems alright if you're ok with the idea of using a keypad lock instead of having a physical room card? I guess customers just have to always make sure no one is looking when entering the passcode at the front door. Btw same passcode is used to enter hotel front entrance and for your room lock. All in all the biggest issue we found was the check in check out process. Overall stay was above average.

Dieses Mal blieb ich drei Nächte im Hauptgebäude und konnte diese bequem verbringen, ohne irgendwelche Unannehmlichkeiten zu verspüren. Die Klimaanlage war erstickend, weil ich die Temperatur nicht einstellen konnte, aber ich habe mich wohl gefühlt, obwohl ich hitzeempfindlich bin. Wir werden Sie wieder in Anspruch nehmen.

The hotel is close to the Kokura station, on the north side which is not as busy as the south side. The room is perfect for a solo traveller, might be tight for 2 people. My room overlooked a train track and you can see the train pass by. It's not noisy though. Lots of comic books available to borrow to your room (register at receptionist) for when the weather is bad. And free breakfast and dinner with rice, curry, tea, coffee and juice. Staff spoke little English but they have printed information available in English to explain the facilities, rules and how things work.

호텔방은 다른 일본 호텔에 비해 큰 편입니다. 다만 룸안에 따로 샤워 공간이 없어서 씻기 위해 대욕장을 반드시 내려가야하는 번거로움이 있습니다. 그러나 호텔 주변의 풍광이 그 모든 불편함을 해소할 만해서 저는 3번째 이 호텔을 이용했고 만족합니다. 온천도 좋습니다. 단 사우나 시설은 없습니다. 식사는 크게 기대하지 마시고요.

Das Hotel ist billig, aber die Lage ist relativ eher belegen. Im Grunde muss jeder Ausflug eine Rotation durchgeführt werden, es ist immer noch eine interessante Erfahrung. Die Rotation wird bis 10 Uhr abends betrieben, und es hat im Grunde keinen Einfluss auf die Reise. Dieses Haus ist ein großes Kette-Hotel, Einrichtungen und Dienstleistungen sind gut.

2 Nächte. Lage war nahe dem Bahnhof. Das Frühstück war großartig, im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels, die Komplimentar für die Gäste lieferten. Bezahlte Parkplätze gerade hinter dem Hotel.
