Perfect hotel, good location and easy to find. The hotel staff are very friendly, plus a few of them can speak English, which made things a bit easier for a laowai like us. We love our room as it gave us a full glimpse of the beautiful sea just about 300m away. In addition, the booking comes with breakfast for two, and the restaurant have got varieties of food items on offer; different Chinese and Western cuisines. My final stay was at the Mercure Haikou City Center. I booked a Deluxe room, which was clean and functional. The staff were friendly and even helped us check out from the previous hotel. The location was excellent, with easy access to parks and malls. The room came with a bidet, which was a nice touch, and the bed was comfortable. However, the air conditioner was weak, and since we couldn’t open the window fully, we had to sleep without blankets. Overall, for the price and space, I can’t complain. It’s a great hotel for city explorers who just need a place to bathe and sleep. There are plenty of food and shopping options within walking distance, and you can easily rent a bicycle to explore Evergreen Park, Century Park, and even Qilou Old Street.
