We booked two rooms for a 2-night family stay —a family Suite and a Classic Room. The hotel’s amenities and location were excellent, with plenty of eateries nearby. My son was unwell during the trip and it’s really comforting that the stay was great for him to rest and recover. We had dinner in the hotel and the food was amazing! The breakfast served was also good, we like the hot dishes that we chose English breakfast, scrambled eggs and salmon 👍! Very cosy, comfortable and pleasant experience!

Das Hotel ist ein schönes historisches Gebäude. Das moderne Spa war schön zu benutzen, aber wir fanden das Zimmer sehr grundlegende und konnte mit einem frisch und sehr enttäuscht, dass dort keine heißen Trink-Herstellungseinrichtungen im Zimmer. Wir hatten das Frühstück in unsere Zimmerkosten enthalten und wir waren sehr enttäuscht darüber - alles war fettschwimmen und der schwarze Pudding und die Kartoffelrosti waren sehr überkocht, so dass wir nicht unsere Mahlzeit beenden konnten. Der Park ist £7 pro Nacht Aufenthalt, aber nicht vorher bekannt. Wir würden wahrscheinlich nochmal bleiben, aber würden in ein Zimmer im alten Teil des Gebäudes aufrüsten und nicht das kochte Frühstück haben.

Der Service war großartig! Es gab einen Fehler bei der Zimmerzuweisung und da das reservierte Zimmer nicht verfügbar war, wurden wir auf eine Suite upgradiert, die wunderbar war, als wir einen besonderen Geburtstag feiern. Das Abendessen im Trevellyn Restaurant war unerwartet, da wir vegetarisch waren und das vegetarische Essen des Kochs war wunderbar. Das Hotel-Dekor selbst sah ein wenig müde aus, obwohl es dem authentischen Aussehen des gelisteten Gebäudes hinzugefügt wurde. Es war ein heißes Wochenende während unseres Aufenthalts und obwohl es keine Klimaanlage gab, wurde ein kleiner Fan bereitgestellt, der etwas Unterschied machte, wenn man nachts schlafen konnte. Die Gärten brauchten eine gewisse Erhaltung und es wäre schön gewesen, wenn die Quellen waren arbeiten. Insgesamt haben wir unseren Aufenthalt genossen und freuen uns auf wiederkommen, nachdem es durch einige Verbesserung und Renovierung gelaufen ist.

Schönes Hotel, Restaurant und Spa. Zimmer mit King-Size-Bett mit Tee und Kaffee, Haartrockner und Eisenbahn-Bord-Ausstattung. Personalfreundlich. Ich genossen meine Zeit dort.

Couple with dog. For two nights we didn't have hot water. We rang reception an spoke to the duty manager - the second time...He told us it was because there was a coach load of people staying who had all taken a shower/bath at the same time on their return, and we would have to wait until it heated up again. That didn't allow for the lack of pressure - a trickle! In the end we gave up - no shower/bath. However, the duty manager assured us that the manager would find us the next morning.... this never happened, On the Saturday night the same thing happened. The excuse given by the receptionist for the manager not having found us that morning was there was a wedding and all managers were needed - they didn't start their shift until 11am. The duty manager couldn't speak to us as he was working at the wedding - Saturday night - but Leanne assured us that she had noted our complaint and that she had written up notes, and our inconvenience (now not having hot water for two nights of a three night stay) would be reflected in our invoice on checking out. This wasn't the point. The stay was supposed to be a relaxing, super special treat, not able to have a shower or a bath at night was NOT okay! She assured us that on the third night the 'tour' party and 'wedding party' would have left. So we would have hot water. Which we did. On checking out the receptionist had no idea about our complaint, and therefore couldn't help us. We are in the process of writing a compliant, and a review. The staff and hotel did not let you down - the management did! I have a video of the water pressure. On another point, the hotel is described as dog friendly. This might be the case. You can bring your dog for a fee of £25 a night, however, on check in we were told we had to eat in the bar area or outside. Luckily the weather was okay. However, we felt like second class citizens! Not only that but the bar area has no tables at which anyone could eat a meal - the tables are all low and only fit for snacks!
