The weather was very cold when we arrived, and we were warmly welcomed with freshly baked hot sweet potatoes, which instantly made us feel at home. When check in the hotel kindly upgraded us to a river view room free of charge — a lovely and unexpected surprise. This hotel had the most comfortable bed of our entire 10-day journey; we slept incredibly well. We also really appreciated that all the towels were properly sanitized, which made us feel safe and well cared for. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with the service and hospitality, and would highly recommend this hotel.

Die Umgebung des Volkes ist sehr gut! Der Chef Xiaojiang ist sehr intim. Im Zimmer gibt es manuelle Begrüßungskarten, die Zimmerausstattung ist auch sehr hoch. It’s generally ok, feels like a clean and simple hotel with some flies in the room but that’s generally fine. What stands out is the service, they’re pretty helpful and they have free dinner and breakfast although again it’s pretty simple so don’t expect anything too fancy. But what’s the best about this place is that right across it there’s this lovely riverside path to walk along and see the bridge and mountains in the distance. It’s also walking distance (about 15 mins) away from 徽州古城 so that’s great and you’ll get to see the local shops and streets as you stroll from the hotel and then across the bridge to the old town. Highly recommended for solo travellers on a budget!

Wildhomestay is the perfect hideout for a relaxing weekend or even week. It is specialized for cycling and has a western style kitchen to offer from cappuccino to apple crumble and even ice cream. We love this place and come back every year at least once. They offer easy pick up service and around the village is a river to dip in and also rice paddies for an easy hike.
