Steele Hill Resorts

Once again I was very pleased with our stay at Steele Hill. This time I brought along family. In the words of a 5 y/o, "This is the best place ever!" We stayed in the signature west 2 bdrm suite. It had everything we needed for a family of 8. The full kitchen allowed us to cook our own meals. The 2 bedrooms and living room had comfortable sleeping space for 8. The 2 bathrooms made getting ready a breeze. The room also had a good size deck with chairs and mountain views. The rooms and furniture looked to be recently updated and very clean. It even came with 2 baby gates. We used all 4 pools while there and we all had our favorite for different reasons. I can say enough great things about Steele hill. It has everything you need and something for everyone's taste. My only complaint is there aren't any elevators and a lot of stairs. I feel Steele hill could be a little more ADA friendly.

We got married here at the end of June and couldn’t recommend it more! Guests kept asking how we found out about it, it’s such a hidden gem. The team went above and beyond to make sure every detail was handled and our room was perfect for getting ready. They even provided clear umbrellas when the weather didn’t cooperate so we could still get some beautiful pictures outside. We loved relaxing in the pool afterwards, and even played a few rounds of laser tag. There truly was something for everyone!

I would give this place zero stars if possible. My first night there I was hoping to relax in the hot tub, shower and go to bed.  But even at 9:30pm the no children in the hot tub law is not enforced, even though the signs say it's NH law,  when I went back up to my room I discoved a filthy shower covered in a strangers hair and eyelashes, and dirty bed linens.  Thankfully I travel with my own but it was still gross to touch sheets so.eone else so obviously slept in. My next issue is the complete lack of thought that goes into guest placement. The put me, traveling with no children, beneath 2 families with small children, and then surrounded me with high school seniors.  I had to listen to slamming furniture, jumping, running, and screaming until almost 11pm and again at 6 am. When the teenagers arrive the bus that brought them parked sideways taking up all of the spots directly in front of the building, and remained there,  so I had to park far away, which made packing up a major task.  When I brought this up to the front desk the girl said it was approved by management. So management is fine displacing everyone so that the school bus can park in all of the front spots. The restaurant is terrible. My chicken parm was burnt, and my partner ordered fish and chips that were bland and dry. But the worst part was hearing the kitchen staff joke about how questionable the seafood looked. We did not return. The golf course they promise is walking only, with ankle deep grass fairways, shoddy tee boxes, and very rough greens. There are no windows screens so if you want fresh air instead of the mildew smell you'll have bugs too. Adult swim time would be nice,  because again no kids in hot tub was not enforced.

Everyone was so welcoming! My husband and I really enjoyed our weekend getaway. Only a few things to note that could be improved - The bed we had was a little springy and dipped in the middle, and our appetizers at the restaurant seemed to be overpriced for the quality we got. We only ate one meal at the restaurant due to this. Other than that, everything was wonderful! We will definitely be back! The area was very peaceful and the resort was so relaxing!! The pool, jacuzzi area and day spa were perfect for unwinding in a tranquil atmosphere.

The room was run down and dirty. I notified the office our shower was broken and how filthy the tub was. I told them twice and they ignored my complaint for months. They never had the decency to reply to my emails asking for a small discount on my $600+ two night stay.

It all depends on what part of the resort you get assigned- whatever we booked- was a run down outdated by about 5 decades dumpy condo. There was zero noise barrier between our ground floor and the caravan of kids jumping around in the unit above us. The kitchen had a chunk out of the counter. The carpet was thread bare. The bathroom was gross and outdated. And the smell- it was like we got the last possible room and they hadn't used it in months- it was so musty and gross smelling. They had NO other rooms throughout the entire resort... so we demanded a refund. The property may be a resort but they are only catering to the weddings and we got the worst of the worst option available. The photos you see online are not representative of the outdated mess we were assigned. So disappointing

In over 30 years visiting every year for at least a week, the resort is in the best and cleanest condition we have seen! Amenities, our unit, the trails, restaurant and all staff were excellent! We are planning to spend 2 weeks here next year. The location also has spectacular views.

Avoid the time share tour! They will be angry at you if you decide not to purchase it! It was very uncomfortable at the end when the manager was visibly angry and stormed out if the room. Not Everyone has 50k at their disposal. Otherwise the place is great. We have gone the last 3 years now and every year has been a blast. So much for the kids to do!
