Excellent stay at East Indies, from the friendly and courteous staff to the building itself which is rich in history, this is a great place to stay

We were not told how to get a hot shower. We were not told there was no hot water in the shower unless you turn a switch outside the room. My partner had a cold shower and was miserable. No window in room. No bedside table for my partner so nowhere to puta glass of water or phone. No hot breakfast. Only cold and small selection of food at breakfast. Terrible reception service. Awful attitude of staff. They act like you're an inconvenience. Worst hotel we've ever stayed in.

Room is comfortable. Service is excellent. Breakfast is good. Centralised location. But parking is difficult during the day as location near Indian street.

酒店很漂亮，很出片，可以體驗東南亞風情 有幾個問題供大家參考： 1. 浴室洗澡沒有圍擋，洗澡水會佈滿整個廁所。一個人洗完澡，整個廁所地板都是濕漉漉的。 2. 浴室裏有一扇門，不知道通往何處，更可怕的是那扇門的開鎖在另一邊。意味着另一邊可以隨時闖入浴室。我們住的那幾天沒有遇到，但心裏總是怪怪的 3. 我們一行三人，訂了一個三人房，入住時正常，退房時被要求額外付款2人的費用。理由是我們預訂衹用了一個人的名字。我們在第二個酒店就沒有遇到這樣的問題。我也諮詢了馬來西亞當地的朋友，從沒有這種説法。酒店老闆是華人，所以人衹坑中國人？？？

酒店是我想象中的樣子 老宅子很漂亮 很乾凈 地理位置也不錯 基本步行就能去到想去的景點 服務熱情 早餐也不錯 推薦入住

在小印度區域裏面，環境蠻好，店家很熱情很好聊天。 旁邊去娘惹博物館很近，每天的早餐都不重樣很好吃。 就是房間陽光不太好，需要去屋外有天井。

Es war Perfekt! Klein, ruhig, gemütlich und sehr schön eingerichtet. Es gab auch wenige Spiele und Bücher zur verfügung. Das Personal war immer sehr freundlich und das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich und lecker! Kann ich jedem weiter empfehlen

Das Hotel liegt mitten in Little India und ist dennoch sehr ruhig. Es herrscht im Hause eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Die Mitarbeiter*innen sind äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Anne, die Besitzerin kann jede Menge guter Tipps geben. Negativ empfanden wir die Klimaanlage, die direkt aufs Bett blies. Ein weiteres Problem war, dass es keine Spiegel an den Stellen gab, wo die Steckdosen waren. Haare föhnen war somit schwierig. Insgesamt aber eine klare Empfehlung.

The hotel (building) is nice. It’s located in a nice area and able to walk to most places. The staffs there are friendly and helpful. We went to check out the place and view the rooms before we decided to stay there. Our mistakes were, we didn’t look too closely. The room was clean and spacious and everything looked ok when we went to the room and decided to book. However after check-in, I noticed baby flies (fruit flies) on the bed and pillow. After a while, as I got paranoid, I started to notice more on the wall and also a lot in the bathroom. The odd thing was, the room does look very clean, the sheets and towels too. No odor , so we don’t know why or where these flies are there. We complained to the staff, and they came to check, and offered to give us insect repellent which I refused as it’s toxic and smells. Later that night they offered to switch our room but the only available room is towards the mid section of the hotel and is more prone to noise. So we decided to stay in the 1st room with flies. It’s less noisy but you still get the noise since it’s next to the storage area and staff’s quarters. In the morning it gets noisy too around 7ish as the room we are at is just next to the kitchen.

Their visit this year and never can get enough of this beautiful mansion. Highly recommend you ask staff abt bespoke tour options as well such a nature walks on the hill, visits to Spice Garden or bicycle rides in countryside. They can arrange for you! Of course they know all the excellent dining options in town too! Excellent service at hotel with the most attentive staff in town!!

Very nice house, very clean and comfortable, excellent location in the old town center. The staff was very nice and helpful, everything was very pleasant. Breakfast was nice and changing style daily. Our room had one wall that did not connect to the ceiling, it as not clear to us why this would have been done, even when keeping traditional style. So moskitos could not be kept out, but we used repellent and plugs, and it was OK.

Beautiful hotel full of character with lots of interesting features. Previously an old shop house, the property has been tastefully restored into a modern hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly making our stay memorable. I can highly recommend East Indies Mansion to anyone wishing to stay in the centre of Georgetown.

The history and culture associated with the Mansion in association with the surroundings gave a wonderful atmosphere for the stay in Georgetown. It was very comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended if you want to get away from the usual hotel environments. The Mansion is in an excellent location--with many restaurants everywhere nearby.

Beautiful old mansion in the heart of the city. The staff and service were impeccable. Also appreciated the laundry services and personalized restaurant recommendations! Would highly recommend. Because it is an old mansion, noise can sometimes carry through floors, but is otherwise very peaceful and quiet considering it’s on a bustling street.
