We had a wonderful time at the resort, the beds were comfortable. The rooms were big enough for our family of 5. Our unit had the best view of the smoky mountains. We're already planning on going back in 2026. If you visit, don't forget to visit the point of view up the mountains, best experience ever.

We have owned our timeshare unit (B building) at Laurel Point since 1983 and love it. Our stay last week was perfect. The location is close to downtown but far enough up the mountain to provide some peace and quiet from all the activity. The 2016, the forest fire destroyed half the resort, but it came back better than ever. The pool area and dressing rooms exceed 2024 expectations and the grounds are immaculate. We love seeing Leroy (the resident bear), but make sure you have a spotter if grilling out....personal experience...LOL! Keep your car doors locked. The units are very spacious and the beds are comfortable. Our unit, as always, was spotless on arrival. Building A and the pool building are total new builds. Building B units were taken down to the studs are have been fully updated with smaller jacuzzi tub and larger showers. Someone commented about lack of amenities. There is so much to do in Gatlinburg, aside from the pool, Pavillion with corn hole, ping pong and horseshoes more isn't needed. The office staff is very attentive....hello Bobbi and Becca!!

This place is fantastic for everything but the bears. Great room with a great view, although the floors were dirty enough we had to wash our feet before putting on shoes. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Amenities were great, with exception of one washer with only hot water and dryers with inconsistent drying times and temps. HOWEVER, the bears are dangerous to the people and your property. Had my car broken into by one even though there was no food inside and it was locked. Bear broke the door handle and then someone covered it up by putting it back together. It will have to be replaced and interior of my car was filthy.

I am sad to write this review, but feel I must. We are a seasoned timesharing family (10+ years), and this was our last exchange before our home resort is sold. Our last RCI points were expiring at the end of the month, so we decided to do a local staycation at Laurel Point Resort. The staff is really great and the rooms are spacious. We did not feel enclosed or on top of each other. The pool and sauna were good. The hot tub was green, so we didn't use it. The game room is closed, so the only activities are outdoor ping pong, large jenga, horseshoes, and cornhole. All pretty worse for wear. Didn't not check out the fitness center, as the mountains and the town were the exercise for this trip. Why two stars? Glad you asked. We checked in late Saturday (no fault of the staff--our late arrival) and found the beds to be pretty hard (harder than the average hotel bed). If you have any sensitivity to hard beds, just be aware. We requested an eggcrate pad from the staff the next day (didn't really much). When we checked in, the unit wasn't very clean, and surfaces were sticky. We didn't get more than 3-4 hours of sleep any night due to how humid the room was (75%--photo taken and all). Everything was damp and dewey. Maintenance replaced the filter, but hasn't done a whole lot). The kitchen has ants and maintenance brought traps, but the ants are only interested in anything but the traps. We are very clean and wipe down surfaces, but due to the humidity, the lysol wipes moisture isn't evaporating. Beds and pillows are dewey at bedtime, almost as if the sheets are half wet from the dryer. Floors are sticky, everything is damp and dewey and sticky to the touch. We were in a unit near the road, so lots of loud revving and honking throughout the night as the resort is on the edge of a pretty sharp turn, and people can't see the safety mirrors at night, so they honk to alert other drivers. As seasoned timeshare travelers, I brought my own robust sound machine, which has taken a dent out of the noise, but it is still easy to be awoken. The side walls seem to be pretty solid and we don't hear noise coming from the sides, but good grief, the walking from upstairs is awful. Thankfully, we have an older couple above us, so not running children. You can hear their TV/music through the floor. The shower in the pool locker room is only cold water. We were told it takes 15-20min for hot water. So, if you plan to shower after swimming or rinse off, you'll be pretty cold. Y'all, I hate to write negative reviews. Our experience (timeshare 3-4times a year or more on our RCI exchanges), has been enough that after 2hrs of sleep last night, we are checking out early and going home. Only the second time ever (once in Italy where the culture was party until 2am and threat of airline strike home). We are getting out of timeshares completely as the maintenance fees are going up and it's frustrating to be locked into a week somewhere where you

There was no one on staff after 5:00. There was only an emergency number to call. There was no indication that you needed to arrive before 5:00 in order to check in. The electricity went out one evening and there was no one on site to contact.

Our family of 4 (2 parents & 2 college age kids) spent a week at Laurel Oak Resort during the Spring/Summer Semester break using our Armed Forces Vacation Club certificate. Becca was awesome and answered all of our questions prior to arrival and when checking in. I was expecting a unit that had not been updated but was super surprised to receive one that had been brought up to 2024 standards! Such a relief and a huge difference in my mind! I loved sitting out on the large private balcony to enjoy the scenery --the road was right below, but traffic is minimal. Fireplace in living room, TVs in each room and comfortable furniture. The pool, spa and sauna were a perfect way to end the day, and we did use all three every day. They were in the midst of updating the activity room, so it was not available. My daughter and I used the gym every day, though it is in dire need of an update as well. It was easy to get fresh towels and we were supplied with enough supplies (soap, paper goods, etc.) to last most of the week. Loved the location, as it is not located in the midst of town but about a mile or so up into the mountain. Be prepared to not be able to just go for a walk or walk into town -road is narrow with ditches on each side- no walkways. Plus expect bears! We saw a family of 3 right across the road from the resort entrance and again up the street in the parking lot of one of the small market stores. We did have torrential storms on and off during our stay which caused flooding but NOT in the resort area. The rain comes down the mountain and doesn't soak up very quickly. We did lose Wi-Fi during one storm and my son ended up calling the office after hours, as it didn't come back on all day. They were able to reconnect it fairly quickly. (Happy teenagers) Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. Many other activities- Great Smoky Mountain National Park entrance is very close to the resort- hiking, waterfalls and Clingmans Dome; restaurants, shopping, activities all over Gatlinburg within a few miles; parking is expensive and minimal spots; Uber/Lift not reliable. Dollywood a short drive. Check events scheduled for the area as it adds lots of traffic and people. Plenty to do for all ages.
