If you search TripAdvisor for Saturnia, you will see several different ”properties”. And that's because there are. I would have thought that there were these hot springs with a resort built around it, but that is sort of the case and sort of not. In reality, the Saturnia hot springs have THREE different ”properties” all somewhat connected and all somewhat (confusingly) distinct. Here is my guide to them: PROPERTIES - 1. Saturnia Tuscany Hotel Resort 2. Saturnia Parco Thermal 3. Saturnal Thermal Springs PRICING - 1. Saturnia Tuscany Hotel Resort - pricey 2. Saturnia Parco Thermal - middle market 3. Saturnal Thermal Springs - FREE POOLS 1. Saturnia Tuscany Hotel Resort - Big swimming pool fed by original spring, with a natural (small rocks) bottom. Protected seating area around it. 2. Saturnia Parco Thermal - Multiple pools including an indoor one and one for children as well as a saune. All outdoors with no real protected seating. 3. Saturnal Thermal Springs - The Insta-iconic original. A public beach like place. Shallow, rocky and crowded. The Resort and the Parco are physically connected to each other and share a spa (with very weak massage treatments...no pressure, just slathering oil on you), but they are different commercial entities. So if you want a day in the ”thermal” (well, tepid) pools with ”magic algae”, then you have two choose between a package by one of these two different (but connected properties). Neither of these places are that near to the original and famous springs themselves (those are about a half mile drive down the road). In short, we don't regret visiting Saturnia. It was a good excuse and base from which to visit a bunch of lovely surrounding Tuscany sites (Pitigliano, Sovana, Montemerano), and we enjoyed playing a round of golf amidst the Tuscany countryside scenery (and the course is dog-friendly, so they get bonus points for that). But if you want to make a trip for some hot springs in Europe, Iceland and the Azores are miles better.

Hotel très vieillot avec son décor des années 70 ; aurait grand besoin d'être remis au goût du jour , chambre avec balcon donnant sur les autres ( donc aucune intimité ) lit et litre à changer , salle de bain à réfaire complètement, riesige Waschbecken, die nichts wert ist , Duschebecken eingebettet , unbehagliche Geruch in den Korridoren , sehr mittleres Frühstück mit Produkten von geringerer Qualität , schlechtes Buffet , nicht zu freundliches Personal , laute Musik , Und wenn Sie die halbe Pension nehmen, warten Sie nicht auf eine Extase vor Ihren Sitzen!! Küche banale sans goût, plats réalisés pratiquement avec du surgelé ( poisson ) toujours les mêmes plats à croire que le chef n'a pas trop d'imagination... responsable de salle fiereuse et fait des préférences parmi les clients ( vor allem in der Nähe der Gewohnheiten ) ; ich kann kritisieren, da ich in der Berufstätigkeit bin !! dieses Hotel hat nicht alle seine 4-Sterne verdient das Preis-Qualitäts-Verhältnis ist weit von gerechtfertigt !! niemand nirgendwo .. zu vermeiden

What a gem of a place. A little perspective: my new husband and I spent only 24 hours here as a part of our honeymoon. We traveled all through Italy for our honeymoon, staying in some spectacular, luxurious places from Villa d'Este on Lake Como to 5-star hotels across the country, and this place surpassed them all. It's a bit off the beaten path (maybe more than a 'bit'), but we loved that 'hidden' and remote quality. We really felt like we stumbled across something special. The grounds are impeccable, really immersive. There are just a few total suites, each one unique. There are spectacular views everywhere. It's somehow simultaneously incredibly private yet there's courteous staff around every corner, attending to any need you might have. The breakfast is ridiculously good, the dinner was amazing. They went above and beyond, even making a secret pineapple cake for my husband because I mentioned to them it's his favorite! Late-night cocktails were one of many highlights - a library/bar/living room becomes a custom, cart-service bar with Claudio giving you a show while creating delicious libations. The wine tasting with Astrid was delightful - she's super knowledgable, funny, and was attentive throughout our stay. Danila was always there anytime we needed anything - more food? Done. New drink? Done. Forgot a bag or jacket in the car? Went out herself in middle of the night to get it and bring it to our room! The incredible team is led by Alessia and Alessandro - what brilliant, kind, warm people. Short of literally holding our hands, Alessia gave us a tour of the grounds, helped us settle in, and made sure we always had what we needed, even helping us plan our next visit. Hearing we were driving to Rome from there, Alessandro took into account my dietary restrictions and packed us a lovely picnic lunch to-go, on the house! Of note, we also met two of owners, Corso and Brando, brothers who also live on the grounds. While opening their 'home' to us, they themselves were helping carry our bags and stepping up to help where needed. In short - we can't wait to return. Again, we stayed at ~16 different places over 3 weeks. This is the only one we NEED to revisit. We're already planning a longer Tuscan escape for 2024, hoping to make Vicarello our home.

We went to the Argentario Osa Resort in september 2022. The structure of this hotel is rather old and the furniture in the rooms and apartement are desperate for a remearch, but our apartment was super clean and very spacious. Friendliness of the staff is fantastic!! I've lived in Italy since 2006 and I'm afraid to say that this country is not big in service culture, but the service mentality of the Argentario Osa Resort is absolutely outstanding! It is great and lovely to be greeted by everybody (from the cleaning lady, to the staff at the reception to the gardener) with a friendly ”buon giorno, Signora” and a friendly smile. Waiters are very attentive and professional. The staff of the Mini Club (children enterainment) were very sweet with our children. I especially appreciated the ”after-dinner-entertainment”: good music, possiblity for children to dance, but all very soft, no stupid jokes with a double meaning or similar. All definitely very family friendly!! One advice to the management: please save energy! No need to let the air condition run in the restaurant while all doors are open. To see a waste of energy like that is rather frustrating in autumn 2022 when the European Union considers desperately how helping its citizens to pay their energy bills. The beach is like 4 km by car, but it is a great beach. Spot on clean, very well organized with a bar / restaurant, changing rooms, good facilitities like showers and toilets and it felt like a safe place to be with your family!! To put it in a nutshell: the place is quite outdated, but a fantastic hotel to spend holidays with your children! Highly recommended!

Hotel in einem Pinienwald am Meer in bezaubernder Lage Top-Service sehr schönes beheiztes Schwimmbad Tennisplatz vorhanden sowie Fahrräder sehr helle und komfortable Zimmer komfortables Badezimmer mit schöner Dusche sehr professioneller Empfang wir wurden von Manuela sehr freundlich nett und professionell begrüßt, Die Dame im Serviceraum war auch sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Jungs im Frühstücksraum waren sehr nett und aufmerksam. Das Essen war sehr gut. Wir hatten eine Flasche Prosecco bei der Ankunft und die Minibar KOSTENLOS. Ein echtes Juwel. Danke für alles. Wir hoffen, bald wiederkommen zu können
