This family-run hotel is a great choice for individual travellers, couples and families who are searching for a „home-away-from-home“: This is an older, a bit faded hotel (which is part of its charm) with various room categories - I recommend taking the luxury rooms because on good days, you will have great mountain views to Kangchendzönga. Even if you do not book one of these rooms, there is a great roof-top restaurant and lounge with even better views where you can linger on rainy days or in the evenings. Staff is really friendly, and at the reception, they can speak good English and give tips what to do. The food is also good - there is something for everyone - Western International, Indian, Chinese and Local, all of them either vegetarian or non-vegetarian. There is is WiFi and a laundry service (for which you will have to pay extra) - if you give the reception the laundry in the evening, it will be ready the next day. The hotel is just 10 minutes walk down the steps to the town center.

Loved this place for numerous reasons. It’s located at the top of Gangtok just below the Royal Monastery, so quiet and within easy walking distance of the shopping area. Fantastic host Kesang gave us valuable travel advice for our one month visit to Sikkim. As a consequence we actually changed our whole itinerary. Great view from the dining area and small terrace out across the city to the mountain range. The room was basic yet ideal for budget travellers. The hotel has a Homestay vibe, which we like.
