I visited Sikkim for the very first time last month. As I was travelling solo so was looking for a budget but nice and tidy hotel.I stayed in Gangtok for 7 days in which I also worked remotely for my job for 4 days from this hotel. Pros: 1. Best location : It takes only couple of minutes on foot to reach MG road from this hotel.10 mins walk to the ropeway. It is just opposite to the Children Park taxi stand.It is next to the iskcon temple. Lots of nice restaurants,bars and departmental stores nearby. 2. Rooms and washrooms were neat and clean. It had a study table and one breakfast table. 3. The manager Mr.Samresh was very cooperative , always ready to help and share tips on local sightseeing.He helped me in booking a shared travel to Nathu La in genuine price. The two teenage room service guys were also very hospitable and cheerful. 4. I was stayed on 2nd floor where the internet router was also placed ,so had a uninterrupted , fast WiFi network. I was able to work smoothly. 5. I had a nice view of Kanchenjunga from my room. 6. They prepared delicious fish curry for lunch on order. 7. They even provide complementary breakfast which is however very basic but ok for the price you are paying. Overall good for the price you pay. Don't expect Luxury. Cons : 1. They don't have a fridge in their kitchen. They should buy one.
