Die Hoteleinrichtungen sind relativ heruntergekommen. Wir haben uns entschieden, zwei Mahlzeiten am Tag zu essen. Das heiße Quellwasser roch nach Bleichmittel und war nicht sehr natürlich . Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis empfand ich als nicht sehr gut

Wir buchten ein Zimmer von 57 Quadratmetern. Nach dem Einchecken war das Zimmer, das uns zugewiesen wurde, nicht 57 Quadratmeter groß Das zugewiesene Zimmer war mehr als 20 Quadratmeter groß und bestand darauf, uns 57 Quadratmeter zu erstatten. Auf Nachfrage teilte uns das Personal an der Rezeption mit, dass das Zimmer an diesem Tag voll sei und es keine Zimmer mit einer Größe von 57 Quadratmetern gäbe Nur noch 67 Quadratmeter Zimmer übrig. Wenn Sie ein Upgrade wünschen, müssen Sie extra bezahlen. Sie behaupteten, dass auf der Website, die ich gebucht hatte, ein Zimmer mit mehr als 20 Quadratmetern gebucht wurde, nicht ein Zimmer mit 57 Quadratmetern. Ich weiß wirklich nicht, wessen Fehler es diesmal war, aber ich habe das Gefühl, dass das Hotel überhaupt nicht ehrlich ist. Die einzige Wahl ist, hier zu bleiben. Zimmer von 27 m². Außerdem ist das Frühstück ein japanisches Menü. Wer keinen Fisch isst, kann nur Reis, Tofu und eine kleine Vorspeise essen. Die Portion ist erbärmlich klein.

Kommen Sie um 10 Uhr in Kawaguchiko an und fragen Sie im Reisezentrum, ob es einen Abholservice gibt. Das Personal im Reisezentrum sagte, dass der Check-in nur um 15 Uhr möglich sei, es also keinen Shuttle gebe. 😖 Glücklicherweise erwischten wir zufällig den Shuttle, der morgens Passagiere rausschickte und uns ins Hotel brachte, um der Peinlichkeit zu entgehen, mit einem großen Koffer die rote Linie zu nehmen. Das Hotel verfügt über einen Shuttleservice um 09:00/09:30/10:00 Uhr morgens. Der Rezeptionist ist sehr professionell und aufmerksam. Obwohl der Besitzer sehr gewissenhaft bei der Instandhaltung des Zimmers ist, hoffe ich dennoch, dass das Zimmer renoviert werden sollte~ Doch allein der Blick aus dem Fenster auf den Berg Fuji und den Kawaguchi-See lässt alle Mängel bereits außer Acht! Sehr kostengünstig! Auch die Bäder und Mahlzeiten sind sehr gut. Auch das Restaurantpersonal ist sehr nett! Es war ein toller Aufenthalt bei meinen Freunden. Ich werde mich beim nächsten Mal wieder für Mifujien entscheiden ❤️

Whether it’s early morning when the summit catches the first rays of sunlight, or during a serene sunset, the unobstructed view of Mount Fuji reflected in Lake Kawaguchiko is simply unforgettable. I woke up early just to capture a time-lapse of the sunrise, and it was worth every second of lost sleep. We also filmed a sunset time-lapse, and again, Fuji didn’t disappoint. ⸻ 🚶♂️ Getting There: Worth the Scenic Walk Although the hotel offers a shuttle bus pickup service, we chose to walk from Kawaguchiko Station — and it was a delightful decision. The 20–30 minute stroll is scenic and peaceful. We even stopped by a local supermarket for some ice cream while enjoying views of Mt. Fuji in the background. It was an experience that made us feel like locals soaking in a perfect day. ⸻ 🛏 Tatami Rooms: Authentic and Comfortable The tatami-style room was clean, spacious, and gave us a deeply authentic Japanese lodging experience. Sliding doors, futon beds, and traditional touches made our stay both relaxing and culturally immersive. ⸻ ♨️ Hot Springs: Cozy, Not Crowded The hotel features both indoor and outdoor onsen (hot springs). While not particularly large, they are a nice bonus to unwind after a day of exploring. Since they only accommodate a few people at a time, it’s best to avoid peak hours. ⸻ 🍱 Meals: Included and Delicious Our stay included both breakfast and dinner, and the food was outstanding. A beautifully arranged kaiseki-style dinner showcased seasonal ingredients, fresh sashimi, grilled seafood, and hot pots. Breakfast was equally satisfying with a variety of small dishes and a perfectly cooked grilled fish. Everything was crafted with care and served with hospitality. ⸻ 📝 Suggestions: • Bring a tripod if you’re planning to do photography or time-lapses — the view is too good not to capture properly. • Try both the indoor and outdoor onsen during quiet hours to fully enjoy the experience. • Use the shuttle service if you’re carrying large luggage, as the walk (while scenic) do take around 30 minutes. ⸻ ⭐ Final Verdict: 9/10 Hotel Mifujien is all about the view — and it delivers. Combine that with great meals, clean traditional rooms, and hot springs, and you have the perfect base to enjoy Mt. Fuji in all its glory.

Japanese style hotel. A bit old and outdated but I think it's charming with Tatami, futon and closet like where Doraemon sleep. If you arrive at station after 3 pm you can call hotel for free pick up service, just 10-15 mins then they're there. We've got a room at 10th floor so bit of a walk from main building to our room but it's fine there, great view of Fuji and lake. Room were nice in Japanese style like I ever read in manga. Our rate were breakfast and dinner included. Then they arranged for you as the time you prefer. Excellent food and super good service! Even they speak 99% only Japanese but service is extraordinary. Don't miss the onsen too, cool experience to take a bath with a view. They also have shuttle service to train station , just ask reception ,free of charge.

My stay at Hotel Mifujien in Japan was absolutely delightful. The highlight was the stunning view of Mount Fuji from my room, which created a serene and unforgettable experience. The hotel is ideally situated on the shores of Lake Kawaguchi, offering stunning, panoramic views of Mount Fuji. Whether you’re waking up to the sight of the mountain at sunrise or enjoying a peaceful evening by the lake, the location couldn’t be better. It’s also close to Kawaguchiko Station (about a 10-minute drive or bus ride)

We love everything here and already planned to visit this hotel again soon with our parents. Great room, wonderful breakfast and dinner sets, friendly staffs.  Thank you so much for your hospitality !

Very authentic Japanese onsen hotel location at the heart of Kawaguchiko. Good view of Mt. Fuji, people are friend and nice, food is good.

this is my first time in kawaguchiko. I chose this place because there is a reasonable price with all i need in here. The place is old but clean, staffs so nice and helpful.

The staff were incredibly nice, and my room was spotless. The food was absolutely delicious, and the highlight was the breathtaking view of Mount Fuji from my window.

It is probably the time to renovate the hotel as most of the areas are old.  We booked three rooms. The receptionist was helpful but she took a bit long for the check-in procedure. The tatami room was pretty good except the toilet was super small. The dinner was included. We went to the dining room on time and the food was prepared. The food was ok. If the staff could have carry smile then it would be great.
