Lake Pointe Inn

This was our second stay at the Lake Pointe Inn and it did not disappoint! Well situated to main attractions like Wisp, Archie’s BBQ, Funland and Fun Zone and just a short 10-minute drive from the main waterfront aquatic rental centers and restaurants as well as Swallow Falls State Park. Well appointed rooms and a lovely, freshly-made breakfast. The hospitality of the staff is second to none. Truly a lake home away from home.

A last minute open weekend and we ended up here! What a great choice. The place is lovely, very cozy, clean and just overall a great weekend! Highly recommend. We were able to check in early as we arrived sooner than expected. The ladies at check in were very kind; showed us all around and took us to our room. We chose the Buffalo Marsh Suite, as we booked the night before leaving and it happened to be available. It was perfect! The breakfast is cooked and served as if you are in a fancy restaurant. Scott, the owner, takes a genuine interest in all the guests asking questions to start very interesting conversations. He's also the server and I might add, very good at making sure breakfast is to your liking. There is a happy hour daily with wine and baked goods (baked goods are out 24/7, self serve). There is a cute little gift shop as well. The lake is very large and when you stay at Lake Point Inn you can sit in the Adirondack chairs and enjoy the view as well as fish the lake. We walked the property which led us to the mountain across the street and lot of hiking is available there as well. We found some good restaurants (Moon Shadow was a great lunch spot, Mountain Brewing, and a few others). If you want a relaxing few days or even just an overnight, you can't go wrong here.

This was out first visit to this area and we are very happy we chose Lake Pointe Inn. If we return to the area, we will definitely book our stay with LPI once again. We loved our room - the Glotfelty suite and we enjoyed the amenities, especially the open access to soda, bottled water and baked goods. We don't usually stay in B & Bs because they tend to be a bit too "cozy" for us, but we appreciated the ambiance of LPI as well as the hospitality and helpfulness of the LPI staff and owner, Scott.

The Lake Pointe Inn is the best B&B in Maryland and awesome for relaxation at Deep Creek Lake. It’s a Beautiful old house on the Lake that has been renovated over time with updated amenities. It’s Clean, Quite, Comfortable, Cozy, Charming and has a lot of history. Each room is shaped and designed differently. We had not stayed in a B&B before prior to 2021 due to the price range and thought we would try it ONE time. We have now stayed here 7 times, each in a different room and have loved everyone with its own character and uniqueness. In 2023 we’ve stayed in the McCann and Inn Keepers suites. The McCann is at the back of the house, has a fireplace, balcony and lake view. The Inn Keeper Suite is at the front of the house, has a fireplace, huge bathroom with a claw tub and waterfall shower, a small kitchenette and its own deck with lake and mountain views. You can relax on the large front porch, the lawn, in the hammock, in the outdoor sitting area or by the firepit all while viewing the Lake, Mountains and nature. In the summer you can enjoy canoes, kayaks and they will take you on a tour of the lake on their pontoon boat. Breakfast is Amazing! Don’t miss happy hour at 4:00pm and mingle with other guests. They have the Best friendliest and accommodating Inn Keepers and staff in the business! During our stay in March this year, Tia made an incredible Peanut Butter/Chocolate for my husband’s birthday and was very much appreciated. I highly recommend the Lake Pointe Inn to everyone; some of my friends have taken my advice and found out for their selves what a wonderful Treasure it is. We call it our second home.

Very nice B&B. We visited Deep Creek Lake for our 5th anniversary and we loved it. Lake Point Inn is centrally located to nearly all the locations. Many of the rooms including our had a lake front view. The breakfasts were yummy each morning and the service was great.

It was a wonderful experience. The atmoshere was charming. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They made it very special. We were greeted with wine and cheese dip and cookies and muffins. Our stay included a tour of the lake by boat. We enjoyed the fire pit. The breakfast was amazing. We loved our room.It was comfortable and cozy. There was a fireplace and jacuzzi. We would definitely go back.

Some places are just perfect. This is one of them. Every detail was right on point. The location is Arcadian right on the lake. The rooms are lovely and charming and the great room (with a fireplace) is the perfect spot to rest. And the comraderie among the guests! We had so many lovely and friendly conversations with our fellow travelers. It truly felt like coming home to a very special place. This isn’t five stars. This isn’t ten. This is the whole galaxy and all the constellations. I’d give infinite stars if I could.

We stayed three nights in the Glotfelty Room at the beginning of October a spart of a short road trip. The location of this B&B is what sold it to us and it's hard to imagine a nicer spot, right on a small creek at the northern tip of the lake. The glorious autumn weather helped but how lovely it was to spend some time relaxing on our small balcony or down on the patio complete with rocking chairs and proper French Press coffee. The 5.00pm boat ride was also fun and we were lucky that the captain turned a 45 minute trip into a 75 minute so we got to see a lot of the lake and the shore from the water. Fallingwater (our main reason for being in the area) is a pleasant fifty minute drive and Swallow Falls is a delightful State Park just 15 minutes away. Our room wasn't large but a small sitting room allowed us to spread out and the bathroom was a good size with shower/bath combination. The balcony was a nice plus. Plenty of choice for breakfast and although the breakfast room was small it seemed that it never got full. Sadly we never got to meet Scott who was away and we didn't meet Lenina until breakfast on our second morning. Until then, there was a sense that the rest of the staff were marking time and just doing enough. Examples were the rather perfunctory room refreshment one morning and the turned off lights on the uneven path between car park and front door. Most B&B's are made by their owners and I'm sure that is the case here. Because of Lenina I have no hesitation in recommending the inn and giving 5 dots but I do wonder if that would have been the case if both had been away?
