Being severely immune-compromised, I had to abandon my husband for 10 days while he quarantined after being exposed to Covid-19 at a party. So I stayed for the first time at the Econo Lodge in Fayetteville, Arkansas. I purposely didn't venture out and, by design, never saw a soul from the first day to the last. The management understood my health-risk situation and were astonishingly supportive, keeping housekeeping away from me and never bothering me the entire time. I have to say, the long 10-day stay was remarkably easy. The front desk responded immediately to all my needs. They wrapped and tied extra linens and trash bags to the outer door handle whenever asked and promptly picked up unneeded pillows or bagged trash left outside. The room was well set up for a long stay. Although the physical plant is past its prime, it was extremely clean. Furthermore, some excellent upgrades to the room (which I presume are available in all rooms) made all the difference: 1). Well-functioning microfridge and microwave installed under the long TV counter made it easy to store and prepare my own meals for 10 days in a row. 2). New furniture tops (on the TV counter, huge desktop and 2 spacious night stands) provided plenty of room to organize prescription meds, electronic equipment, food storage and personal items for the whole 10 days. 3). The desk had a modern, ergonomic rolling desk chair that was extremely comfortable. 4). The new TV had great resolution and made my viewing enjoyable. 5). The brand new lamps were large, crisp, modern and astonishingly good: - 4 of them: 1 on each nightstand, 1 at one end of the desk, plus a standing floor lamp between the other end of the desk and a comfy, overstuffed armchair right near the door. - Very nice light from each lamp (bright and warm) made reading a pleasure. - Easy to control: table lamps had easy switches on their bases, and the floor lamp a convenient wall switch. - Best of all, each of the table lamps had one (or two!) 120-volt outlets on their bases, allowing multiple electronic devices to be connected in a split second --- no trying to move furniture to discover enough outlets or finding them too far away for your charging cables to stretch. 6). The bathroom had superb hot water, powerful toilet and a nice tub with wall-mounted, removable, hand-held shower head that gave a strong spray. 7). The heater/AC unit worked extremely well and transitioned instantly from AC to heat when a cold front moved in for a few days. All in all, this place was totally convenient and worked brilliantly. With the responsive and supportive management on top of everything else, I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. And if you've never been in Fayetteville, you owe it to yourself to come see it -- a beautiful college town, with an expansive biking and walking trail system, lovely parks, large farmers' market in season, great restaurants, and easy access up I-49 (entrance practica
