This beautiful log cabin is situated in the woods on the outskirts of North Pole, Alaska. It is easily accessible in the winter months or in the summer. Guests don’t need to worry about the cold temperatures with the year round heating system. The cabin is cozy even in the coldest of winter temperatures. The cabin has running water, full kitchen and full bathroom (shower and tub) inside the cabin. Moose Tracks Cabin feels like a home away from home. The cabin has a kitchen and bathroom (sink, toilet, and shower/bathtub) inside the cabin. The kitchen is full of necessities and niceties to make a trip more comfortable. The dining area has a table large enough to comfortably sit 4 adults. Some pantry items are available for guests such as coffee, assortment of teas, salt/pepper, oil, and a few other things. A high chair is available upon request. I do not keep it in the cabin, so please let me know if you need it prior to your arrival.The living room has plenty of space to relax while you enjoy each other's company or watch something on TV. Guests can easily log into their Netflix, Amazon, YouTube accounts, etc. with the available wi-fi. The cabin has a full bathroom with bathtub and washing machine/dryer located inside the cabin for use. Upstairs into the half loft is the bedroom with a queen bed with an open closet and dresser. The couch can be made into a sleeper sofa that can be utilized as needed. A pack and play is available upon request. I do not keep it in the cabin, so please let me know if you need it prior to your arrival. There are blackout shades in the bedroom as well as in the living room room area. Up to two pets are welcome, but I do ask that you contact me prior to booking just so I am aware before your arrival. We do ask guests to only bring pets that are potty trained, that they clean up after their pets, and that are not left unattended.On the day of check-in (usually around 2 pm), I will send the check-in information, including the deadbolt code. You will then be able to check-in at your convenience. If there are any issues, I will have added the phone number that is listed through the account to my favorites list and it will ring through to me day or night. I am also just a few minutes away, so if something needs my immediate attention, I can be there in just a few minutes. If you happen to empty both water jugs either leave them on the cabin porch and/or send a message to us and we will get the jug(s) filled asap. Along with that there are buckets under the sink to catch the water that goes down it. Once the buckets are full they will need to be dumped outside the cabin, on the side by the outhouse. Our 2 bedroom, 1 bath home is set on 3 beautifully secluded acres in the hills above Fairbanks with 2 Peaceful Bee Hives working hard to collect as much honey as possible while summer is in full swing! If you are looking for an escape from the craziness of life and ready for a break, look no further. We are an easy 15 min drive from all the amenities of town, but the peace and quiet you will gain are unmatched. We look forward to hosting you!The spaceOur home is in a well spread out neighborhood and the beautiful Northern Boreal Forest in between each house provides ample buffer to make you feel like you are all alone. In reality however, town is only 15 minutes away with the Fox General Store being half that (they have basic necessities like brownies and milk when your wife has a pregnancy craving!).This distance from town makes a big difference during the months when it actually gets dark (September-April) as you are far enough away from the light pollution to see the Northern Lights completely unobstructed. Our property is very open and if the Northern Lights are out, you will see them from our house!!In the summer, you will love the HUGE maintained yard and wrap around deck. There are several trails you can explore that leave directly from behind our property. Also feel free to check out the garden, as well as the wild Raspberries scattered around the yard (season dependent of course).The first floor holds the cozy and well stocked kitchen, living room, master bedroom (Queen Bed), and bathroom. Upstairs is a combined bedroom (Full bed) and office area. The home is heated by an oil stove that keeps it quite toasty, and there are fans available for the rare extra hot days!Guest accessThe entire house is available for guest use except for a small closet under the stairs. The home sits on almost 3 acres and you are welcome to enjoy the deck, entire yard, and small garden or go explore the wild areas and see if you can find wild raspberries. We also have 2 honey bee hives (the gentlest strain of honey bees possible working on the edge of the property). The trails behind the house are open to explore, but be mindful of our neighbors and respect their privacy (If you can even find them! There aren't very many neighbors!)Other things to noteIn the summer (Mid May-Mid September), any vehicle can easily reach our home. It is fully paved until the last 1/2 mile and then it turns to a well maintained gravel road.
