"Salvatore versorgte uns mit vielen nützlichen Informationen zu unserem Aufenthalt und der Villa selbst. Die Villa blickt auf eine faszinierende, über 300-jährige Geschichte zurück. Lassen Sie sich nicht von den abblätternden Wänden und Treppen abschrecken. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, angenehm und modern. Unser Zimmer war geräumig für drei Personen und hatte einen Balkon. Ein paar Nachteile gab es allerdings: Nachts war der Lärm der vorbeifahrenden Autos deutlich zu hören. Außerdem war es im Zimmer recht kühl. Wir hatten zusätzliche Decken dabei. Die Heizung war auf 19 Grad Celsius eingestellt, lief aber nur 30 Sekunden und schaltete sich dann ab. Die Raumtemperatur lag kaum unter 19 Grad Celsius. Mir gefiel auch nicht, dass sich die wasserdichte Decke unter dem Laken eher wie Wachstuch anfühlte und unter uns raschelte. Die Lage ist jedoch sehr praktisch und Salvatore ist sehr hilfsbereit. Ich kann ihn nur empfehlen!"

Ruins B&B

"STAY AWAY!! What can be said? The name ruins is a perfect description! You follow Google Maps to your ‘Private parking’ as described on both Trip.com and ***********… You have to park illegally on a busy street to get out and enter through an entrance that doesn’t exist (actually you have to use the hotel entrance next door) to be told that the parking is nearly half a kilometre away down the street. When you come back from parking your car you are then told you also have to pay €10 for the parking which you were never informed anywhere. In fact when I contacted Trip.com, they said it was a breach of the Booking terms. Next you have a delight of being taken to your room through a derelict corridor and you feel like you are going to get mugged. The room may have been painted some point in the last decade but the design was clearly from several centuries ago. The terrace overlooks a delightful inner courtyard of several thousand other apartments and all their trash. Now for the real fun parts. The sound insulation is made of paper! You will hear every noise from every other room. People moving furniture, talking, snoring, people having sex, using the toilet, TVs… It’s as if the whole community is in one open plan room and that room is yours! How such places survive is beyond me. They also wanted me to pay tourist tax in cash… Probably another scam from this money grabbing thieving poor excuse for a hotel only come here if you want to have an awful night and feel terrible"

Maison di Fiore Park

"What a great find this was. We stayed only for one night as we needed to be closer to the airport after spending time on the Amalfi coast. The B&B is attached to a family home and they couldn’t have made us feel more welcome. The room had everything we needed and was clean, comfortable and stylish. The garden of the property with its beautiful pool and loungers was just so relaxing with an outstanding view of both Vesuvius and Naples. We had a great nights sleep and knew that everything was taken care of - the family organised our transfer to the airport and gave us a recommendation for an authentic local restaurant. Breakfast was freshly made for us and served on our terrace before we left. We would thoroughly recommend Maison di Fiore - worth every penny for a wonderful experience!"

Palazzo Adele

"In my opinion, Palazzo Adele is the best place we ever stayed in. If we go to Ercolano again, it would be our only choice. The building is very elegant. The terrace on the 2nd floor (or 1st floor in Europe) is spacious. The parking is gated, only opened with a key fob. The room is spotless; I even feel comfortable walking on the floor barefooted. The owner is such a nice guy! When we arrived, he gave us a warm greeting. He also provided us with some great advice on how to go to visit Vesuvius and Pompeii, as well as where to eat. In fact, he printed out some useful information, which became our guidebook in the following few days. We went to the Herculaneum Site as he suggested, spent nearly 2 hours there, only covered 60% of the whole place. We followed his instruction to purchase the tickets to Vesuvius, and had a great trip there. We asked about restaurant, he suggested a few of them. We tried the best one on the list, Bistrot Italia, fantastic food, affordable price, nice wine, and impressive service. It was so good that on the day we left, we went there again. The location of Palazzo Adele is great! Walking distance to almost everywhere (the train station, the Herculaneum Park, restaurants, The Royal Palace of Portici, oh and an amazing gelato place). The neighborhood is nice. I remembered we walked through a short tunnel and there was not even a slight trace of urine smell in the air, which was very, very impressive. All in all, Palazzo Adele is a great place to stay. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the Naples and Pompeii area."
