Charles and Gloria Again we had a wonderful stay with you. As always the rooms were fantastic - we love the rooms with the balcony where we can sit out and watch the wildlife at night. Thank you also for the use of the rental car, that was absolutely fabulous, and something we would like to take advantage of again.

I stayed with my family and everything from the welcome to the farewell made you feel relaxed and cared for! We tried the food from the bar and grill and it’s was absolutely delicious. Finger lickin great!! Compliments to the chef and staff for a short but satisfying stay!

Okra house is just as charming and clean as the on-line pictures show. The view of the gardens, town and lake are lovely. The “feel” of the house in person is a bit different in that it feels like a HOME more than a commercial hotel. That feeling is enhanced by Joy at the front desk who greets you like a family member. She made us feel so at home. She gave us tips on an excellent place to eat nearby. She was even ready to drive us—but we enjoyed the short/safe walk and loved the food there! I wish we could have stayed longer, but we had to fly out EARLY the next morning. She had arranged someone (Arthur?) to drive us to the airport—he was even early). Then, just before we pulled out Joy came running out with a blanket wrapped around her to say a special goodbye and wish us a good flight.

I keep coming back to Okra house, because of: the location - 4 min from the airport free pick-up and drop-off wonderful wonderful staff clean and comfy rooms A really nice hotel Thank you to the hotel staff for always making my stay comfortable, warm and welcoming

Okra House is set against the backdrop of a lovely garden and Lake Victoria, just a few minutes from the airport. So convenient! The rooms are simple but comfortable. The glory of this place is Gloria, but all the staff have been very welcoming! We will certainly stay here again! Oh, and it’s just 200 m away from the very popular Faze 3 restaurant, which boasts not just excellent food, but views of both the lake and airport.

Despite a delayed flight and all the hassles of Covid testing at the airport, our shuttle driver was cheerfully waiting at 1.00am. The welcome at Okra house could not have been warmer and we were served with a cold drink. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Our stay was just an overnight before heading off to the interior. The facilities are basic, but the friendliness and charm of the staff could not have been better. Excellent value for the price.
