The Bricks Hotel

Very MUCH disappointed with this hotel, I paid 50% deposit for my booking as per their request & because of a circumstance beyond our control we have to cancel the booking which happened to be more than a month before our booking date. I was told they will give me a refund but for some reason they penalised me of 30% , it's not even on the form i filled up that says a penalty will apply. After some help with 2 nice staffs, they changed it to 20% penalty instead of 30% after I tried to negotiate that i will just take the penalty but at least 10% unfortunately, they won't accept 10% but 20% instead (still they are not supposed penalized me), the room was booked straight away after being cancelled as it's foundation day in Siliman & besided they will be fully booked anyway. TO MAKE THIS MATTER WORSE, THE REFUND WAS FINALLY DEPOSITED BACK TO MY ACCOUNT AFTER MORE THAN A MONTH LONG OF ALMOST EVERYDAY FOLLOW UPS. How honestly is disappointing, to think, every year we stay with this hotel, BUT NEVER AGAIN!! I WILL NOT RECOMMEND.

We arrived by ferry from Cebu Island, taking an ongoing ferry to Siquijor Island and spent two nights here en route. The place is fabulous. The staff are very efficient and helpful. The breakfast was very good and the dinner we ate there was also excellent. They were remodeling the bar area.

The interiors of the hotel is an acquired taste as it makes use of upcycled materials and bare finishes. The quality of the bed, beddings and pillows are excellent. Breakfast is ample in quantity and choices. Expect some traffic noise as it is located on the main road and there is no sound absorbing finishes at all. The location is very accessible to good restaurants, the pier and transportation. It is great place to stay for short stays.
