"While the hotel offers comfortable beds and is generally clean, the staff and management were extremely disappointing, making the experience feel more like a hassle than a proper hotel stay in Dubai. We booked an executive suite and a canal view room, noting on *********** that we were two adults and two kids, with breakfast included. However, upon arrival, the reception informed us that breakfast was only for two adults, and I would need to pay extra for my kids. I explained that *********** listed breakfast as included for our selected rooms, but they still sent a staff member to count us and insisted—quite rudely—that I pay immediately for the kids’ breakfasts. Later, for personal reasons, I wanted to extend our stay by another night, though I had just checked out. The staff refused, saying I’d need to come down immediately to leave a deposit, which felt unnecessary. My sister was staying at the hotel for a week, which is why I was there in the first place. The receptionist overheard me inviting her and her daughter to my room and repeatedly asked for her ID, even after I clarified that she was already a hotel resident. Despite this, I received multiple intrusive calls demanding her ID, culminating in a visit to our room for further verification. Though this is a 4-star hotel, the management is poorly run. Having lived in the UAE and stayed at many hotels, I’ve never encountered such unprofessional behavior."
