The propertywas built in 1997 on snd around a heritage property, 'Nawabgunge House' built in 1875 and renovated in 1929. I booked two Orchid Room King Room. .For my 3 nights stay for one double and ond single occupancy without breakfast, I paid ₹45k. We arrived around 3 pm and the check in process was smooth. Let us now move to the review of facilities and my experience. ( Rating have been assigned in a Scale of 1 to 5, 5 being highest):- A. Location : Located at Mall Road next to Governor House in an extremely serene and quiet. In Darjeeling, this is the best location you can think of. Darjeeling Mall is just 10 minutes walk. Only issue with the location is the wrong side of Observatory Hill dies not allow view of Kanchenjunga. The hotel is built on a multi-lelvelled layer of the hill side. From the road you have to climb down through a ramped walkway to reach the glass elevator. The elevator take you to the lobby, restaurant and facility area. Rooms are spread out across the property. (Rating 4.5). B. Room :  Our rooms 406 and 407 were located on the lowest level. The rooms are large 550 sq feet and are built as a suite with a large L- shaped living cum dining room and an approach room adjacent to the entrance. The entire area comprising of rooms, living and dining areaare brightly painted with beautiful textured wall with paintings, painted ceiling and wooden floor with ruch and thick carpets, furnished in one of the finest set of antique finished furniture and matching rich coloured furnishings. Each room and the living area has seperate smart TV The rooms are very clean with a large King sized bed, multiple wardrobes and storage space, a separate dressing area. Bed mattress was very comfy with large pillows and cushions , duvet and matching linens . The room has excellent heater and hot water bottles were provided in addition to keep the beds warm.The room have amenities like tea/coffee making facility, free biscuits and light snacks supply and coke and sprite can. All these are replaced every day. Adequate bottled water are provided.Toilet is huge with a full sized bathtub. Toilet is fitted with sanitary fitings of good quality. Toileteries like bodywash, shampoo, body lotion are provided. Toilet was fitted with a large wall to wall mirror. Quality of towels are of good quality. Room is well lit. You don't get a much of a view of the hills and the valley from the room. There is intercom and strong WIFI in the room. Only thing that you miss in the room is a minimum fridge. (Rating 5) C. Facilities : The hotel has all facilities that you expect . They have a seperate sitting area housed in glass walled spaces around the property. They had a spa, indoor game

Starten von Verkaufen bis zum Checkout Obwohl wir 80% (2 Tage von 3 Tagen) Vorauszahlung aber ihre Verkaufsmannin (Seema) Noch nicht bestätigte unsere Buchung und verließ unsere Gäste in der Lobby warten für 3 Stunden, bis sie die vollständige Zahlung bekam. Als Reisen nach Darjeeling aus Bagdogra gab es eine Mobilnetz-Problematik, so konnte ich die Balancezahlung nicht machen. Obwohl ich beantragte, dass ich bezahlen, sobald ich dort ankam, wir hatten eine Buchung für 21 Zimmer und nur 2 Zimmer zugeteilt an Familien, die früh erreicht haben, aber sie war ada***t Hotel ist wirklich in BAD Form und jetzt verstehe ich, warum sie alle fragen Zahlung. Sie haben 2 Gebäude und sie zeigen nur das Haupterbe Gebäude. Die Standardzimmer sind er schlimmsten, im anderen Gebäude zu bleiben Obwohl einige Zimmer groß sind, aber keine Wartung war da der Boden ist gebrochen, Lähmung, Geruch von Dampf, gebrochene Möbel ... und ***y mehr (Problem mit allen Zimmern) Sie haben nicht genug Personal, um Zimmerservice oder Hauspflege zu erledigen. Handtücher wurden für 3 Tage nicht geändert. Sie fragen 1 Sache und Sie wären in 1 Stunde ohne Erinnerungen 3-4 glücklich, um sich in eins zu begeben. Sie halten keine Lebensmittelbestände. Das Hotel war beschäftigt, aber sie haben nur 8-10 Snackoptionen (Keine Französisch frisch, Keine Erdbeeren) ... Kann man sich vorstellen, dass ich viele Gäste beschweren habe, um das Zimmer zu ändern, aber sie cudn’t help it. Sie wechselten uns nach nahe gelegenen Hotels und sagten, dass sie uns nächsten Tag bessere Zimmer geben werden, aber ich muss hart kämpfen, um diese Zimmer nächsten Tag zu behaupten Nicht einmal ein Teammitglied war mit dem Aufenthalt glücklich. Schönes Hotel mit herrlicher Aussicht auf Kanchanjungha. Hotelservice ist wirklich sehr gut und gut ***altert. Hauspflege war immer aufmerksam und auf unsere Bedürfnisse reagiert. Die Lage des Hotels ist wirklich gut in Bezug auf Frieden und Aussicht, aber ein wenig von der Mall, wenn Sie gehen zu Fuß. Aber ich liebe meinen Aufenthalt im Hotel. Die Zimmer sind auch sehr schön und gemütlich.

Vor einem Monat besuchte ich dort mit meinen Eltern. Als ich in dieses Hotel eintrat, war es absolut großartig. Ich blieb bei ***y Hotels, aber das war eines der besten Orte, den ich jemals gewesen ♥️ buchstäblich awesome Ort und Gastfreundschaft war sehr gut. Das Personal und jeder arbeitete dort sehr nett und freundlich. Liebe an diesem Ort 😘

Summer Palace Hotel in Darjeeling is the ideal budget hotel. First of all, they offer accommodation and food at unbeatable prices. During my visit with my friends, I discovered that the hotel offered food and lodging together at a very reasonable price. We were unsure whether the hotel service and food quality would be good while staying there. We checked several hotels in the same area before coming to Summer Palace. Most of the hotels in the nearby area charged much higher prices and ***y did not even offer food. Summer Palace's price, at first, surprised us - damm cheap. Then we asked the ***ager to show us the rooms and the hotel services. However, after seeing the room and talking to the ***ager, we felt confident that we could try it out. Our financial budget was very tight, and it was a full season for Darjeeling. In any case, we decided to stay there. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the food was excellent. Non-vegetarian meal three times. The experience was more than satisfactory for us. Unbelievably the room was very nice, with wood-crafted walls and a large ground floor. From its balcony, the room offers a magnificent Kanchanjangha view. Stunned, we were. My friend joked that there was no way this hotel could offer such great service and superb rooms for such a cheap price unless the owner had black money. This has been our most enjoyable trip so far.

We had a fantastic stay at Sterling Darjeeling from December 29, 2024, to January 3, 2025. As a regular visitor for the past 30 years, twice a year, this resort truly feels like a home away from home. Perched atop Ghoom, the resort offers breathtaking views of the majestic Kanchenjunga. The staff, particularly Mr. Jeevan Pradhan, were exceptionally cordial, cooperative, and eager to assist. The food and service were superb, making our stay truly unforgettable. I highly recommend Sterling Darjeeling for its warm hospitality, stunning location, and excellent amenities. Rating: 5/5 stars Will I return? Absolutely! This resort has become a second home to me. ❤️
