Die Lage ist sehr bequem und zugänglich zum Stadtzentrum. Zimmer sind sehr komfortabel und geräumig. Die Mitarbeiter sind kooperativ und professionell. Das Frühstück war erstaunlich mit viel Sorten und lokalen Früchten. Infinity Pool ist auch erstaunlich.

We stayed here after an overland tour and couldn’t have been more impressed with service and kindness. The Hotel is ideally located in downtown Dar. The room was ideal with a good shower and air conditioning. The included breakfast was also excellent with friendly staff and great choice of local foods. We had a late flight change and were offered a late check out and an easy reorganisation of our airport transfer. We recommend this Hotel and after visiting over 100 countries feel it is up there with the best.

Die Toiletten waren sehr sauber und sanitiert und Handtücher auch geräuchert, wie sie gut gewaschen wurden. Ich mag es, dass das Hotel in der Stadt mit einem engen Zugang zu einer Vielzahl wichtiger Orte, Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten ist. Ich war in einem nicht rauchenden Zimmer und konnte Rauchen aus anderen Zimmern stinken. Ich habe die Rezeption gebeten, mein Zimmer zu ändern, was sie getan haben.

I spent one night in the Chelsea Hotel to do some sightseeing in Dar and it was very good for that purpose. The hotel was a little bit dated, but otherwise completely up to the standards which I expect from a hotel. It's located not far from the clock tower, which to my understanding pinpoints the centerpoint of the city. The actual sights I went to see started further away, about 20 minutes by foot. The room was adequate in size and had good aircon. I had a twin room. I first tried sleeping in the bed further away from the aircon, but the air blew directly there, so I had to move to the bed right under the aircon unit. The hotel was located close to a busy road and the honking of the cars could be heard up to the sixth floor. However it wasn't bad. The breakfast was ok. It didn't have a very wide selection, but the items I tried were tasty and of good quality. Also the setting in the restaurant was pleasant. The only negative I have to say is the extraorbitant exchange rate. I had paid my room rate in advance, but I had to pay the city tax (1.50 USD) at the hotel. I asked to pay in Tsh and had to pay 7000 Tsh, equivalent to about 3$. My loss was only 1.50$, so it wasn't a big deal in my case, but the principle left a bad taste in my mouth. If the room rate would have been 1.50$ higher but the city tax 3500 Tsh, I would have left as a happy customer. The hotel offered airport transfer for 42000 Tsh. It was quite pricy. The fixed price at the official taxi stand at the airport was 30000 Tsh. On the way back to the airport I used a rideshare app to get my transfer, it cost Tsh 12000.

Meine Erfahrung war gut. Ich wurde vom Flughafen zum Hotel gepflegt. Die Rezeption war hervorragend. Die Mahlzeiten, die Freundlichkeit des Personals, die Reinigung waren hervorragend. Nur eine Situation von Wasser, das im Badezimmer, im Zimmer, in dem ich war, lief, das fast zu einem schweren Unfall führte. Aber der Aufenthalt war großartig.

I am very satisfied with the facilities as well as the services. The room was clean and spacey. For the breakfast, you can taste the Spanish omelette just cooked. The employees at the bar are very kind and polite. The laundry service was also very good. Clothes were delivered clean and well-folded. The security is also good since the inter elevator is separated from the outer one. The genera manager is the best. He is always willing to help you kindly, politely and well-mannered. I will definitely recommend this hotel and be back when a chance is given. Great to stay 😊

Das Hotel war sauber und sehr komfortabel. Es ist auch sehr nah am Flughafen, so dass es sehr einfach zu finden ist. Das Personal war auch freundlich

Das Hotel in Tanzang ist gestern Abend die erste Wahl, weil es nicht weit vom Flughafen entfernt ist, nicht weit von der Stadt entfernt ist. Das Frühstück ist auch sehr groß und der Pool ist auch vorhanden.

It‘s a fairly new hotel and part of Marriott Bonvoy. I enjoyed to stay there a lot, the staff is very friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet is nice and with various options. The pool has a nice size, however lacking a view. Talking about view, some rooms have nice sea view. Others have pool view but you also see the green landscape which is nice too. The rooms are pretty big, kind of small TV though, but they feel very comfortable and the bed is great too. Also USB and an international power plug at the night stand, which still a lot of other hotels don‘t have. Rooms are cleaned very well. The gym is very basic, only machines for cardio and a few weights. Ate dinner at the restaurant several times and always got good food. There is an area called Slipway just 5 walking minutes away, that also provides great food options and a bit of nightlife.
