Margaritaville Beach Resort Ambergris Caye

I absolutely loved Margaritaville. We were made to feel so welcomed. The whole staff was amazing. Marcella was our housekeeper and she did an amazing job. Barry, Flor, Anthony and Flaco. Mostly I want to acknowledge Jaianna. She made our stay extra special. Also a special shout out to Ken who just takes care of everyone. Our room was beautiful and I it actually feels like a vacation. I relaxed and just slowed down. We did spend some time in town but always came back to our happy place. Mario was the captain of the boat and made sure we had the best time. He actually picked us up from the airport and helped us with our luggage and brought it to the boat. It’s a beautiful resort and definitely well worth coming back to again.

Just returned from a few days at this out of the way escape. Jerry and the rest of the staff will make you feel most welcome. Unique small property. Rooms are large and well maintained . Welcomed with margarita on arrival and ate several excellent meals at the restaurant. All guests seemed fun and easy going - away from the world in a little bit of a fantasy island experience. Relax, enjoy and escape the hustle bustle of the world. Take the tour to Hol Chan reserve, go to see the reef area, sun set cruise- and experience the joy of relaxing and nature. Hands down the impeccable attention to detail and top notch service are the BEST part of staying here. The resort itself is beautiful, very clean, well kept and tastefully decorated. The rooms are spacious, beds comfortable (IMO), well stocked with shower amenities, hair dryer (even a sock diffuser for the curly haired girls!), plush towels and a coffee/margarita making bar. You need to get the ingredients, however the staff is more than willing to help you out with this. The refreshing cool towel coming off the boat followed by a margarita set the tone for the rest of the stay. Jerry & Pedro have you covered at the front desk if you need anything or even they are there ‘should you just need emotional support’. They know your name every time they see you and you will feel like they are family by the 2nd day of your stay. Barry the bartender makes a mean margarita, is very friendly and always has a fantastic smile to greet you. All of the wait staff in the restaurant are kind, happy and knowledgeable on the menu. Any one of them were willing to help, even if you weren’t their table. The food was delicious and the fresh juices very tasty. I was not able to utilize the spa, however I did get to peek inside and the treatment rooms are cute little cabins off the back of the property that were large, beautifully decorated and the air worked very well! Now, you will be on ‘Island Time’ and the official motto of Belize is ‘Go Slow’ so if you expect the the super fast on demand service of getting your drinks and food that has become the culture of America, you are setting yourself up for disappointment. Part of the charm and culture of this gorgeous area and the vibe of Margaritaville are to sit back, relax and don’t stress. Be patient and enjoy the moments! 100% will be back to visit my new Belezean family at Margaritaville.

Margaritaville Ambergris Caye was out of the regular beach hotels in an island. I’ll tell you why starting with the staff smile as soon as you arrive to the lounge they have a few steps by the airport where before you arrival time they come close by and guide you there when you land. In the lounge Mario will help with the check in and explaining all about the resort and what you could do and policies applicable for a hotel a la cart like this one. There is a resort boat which takes you there as it is located 15 min at the north of San Pedro. As soon as you arrive to the resort you keep feeling the kindness and warm welcome from the staff with cold towels, by the pier and also they will help with the luggage (please tip them). All meals are a la cart and the food is prepared at the moment and is really good. You will be able to choose different options for breakfast, lunch or dinner. After dinner you could hit the bar inside the restaurant Riddles of the sand” and do karaoke night which is so much fun and as I said you feel like home as soon as you arrive. Options to explore the area are available to book there, as a tour in the resort boat to swim in the middle of the ocean for 50 usd American dollars with drinks and ceviche. Exploring San San Pedro is an option as well. As is a resort a la cart food and beverages are additional. Pool is open 24/7, you will experience most of the main areas in the resort music, event at the boat. Everything is so clean and tidy, rooms are huge beds are so comfortable, nice carpets, good WiFi, you get to play your music in the screen of your room or the Bluetooth speaker, huge terraces and PEACE. Look for Jerry who is such a nice person, Kent as well, Mario, captain Pedro and staff at restaurants they are all amazing. I forgot to mention, you could request to the team grocery list before you arrive and you could cook in your suite or open grill spaces and they will show you receipts 🧾 at the arrival time, you could also do charge to your room from the store. I do recommend to exchange you money in the local coin. Margaritaville Beach Resort Ambergris Caye is a real place to elope with all the family, special person and even alone.

My family and I spent a week in Belize and would highly recommend it. We liked that it is an English speaking country. Here’s a shout out to the staff at Margaritaville Beach Resort Ambergris Caye (Ken, Jose, Jhosue, Ernesto, Anthony, Aaron, Louis, and Nadine) who accommodated us with all of our needs. Great staff, good food, and enjoyable activities offered. We loved our time there and would definitely go back.

Upon arrival, we were met by resort staff with such a warm and inviting welcome. The hospitality is top notch! Ken and Faura lead with excellence while maintaining such a beautiful spirit of comradery among the staff. The property is beautiful! I loved the secluded feel of the resort; a place to really have a time for reflection and peaceful tranquility. Our suite was very clean and well designed…stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Spent four nights here with friends but I’m also excited to bring my family next time!

Awesome locale to unplug, disconnect and fall off the grid. Fantastic rooms (ours faced the ocean which made for amazing views during morning coffee). Beautiful grounds (with solid WiFi). The staff was superlative. So friendly. Helpful. Present but not hovering. Even the ever present lizards were welcoming. We love Faura, Ken and everyone we met. The massage in the spa was next level. Food was great. Especially the chef specials. We sea kayaked and rode bikes along the coast (with resort bikes and kayaks, no extra charge). Much lounging around the pool (more than the beach, because seaweed) and the drinks were flowing. Karaoke was fun. Ken, Flor and chef can sing!! The staff really was the best. So kind and personable. The property is beautiful. We would definitely come back for another stay. One note of caution: It’s not quick to get into town or to the resort. Make sure you plan accordingly because if you are not prepared for this and expecting to just go as you wish that maybe difficult as the only options are a boat at out at 7am and a boat to the resort from town at 5pm. Van ride can be an option depending on the tides and if it’s running that day. You can rent a golf cart but be prepared for a long bumpy adventure.

Excellent hospitality. Ken Faura and team were awesome and hospitable. Our group were greeted by some pleasant employee at the checkin desk. The staff was thorough with their explanation of the resort's policy and protocols before any signature were affixed as an acknowledgement. Thanks for facilitating a great stay. My first time visiting Belize and I had an Amazing time at the Margaritaville Resort!!! The staff were awesome. They made our stay very enjoyable. They made sure we had every and everything that we needed to make our experience worthwhile. Just want to take time to recognize some of the staff that we came in contact with who did an amazing job from arrival to departure. Ken, Berry, Farah, jianne, Anthony, Flor, Pedro, Davis, the house attendants, the cooks, the groundskeeper and the captain who made sure we arrived safely. You all was amazing.
