I stayed here for three nights during EURO 2024. As I expected, this is a no-frills hotel, but it was quiet and comfortable and ideal for my needs. My single room was at the back, overlooking the courtyard, with a private bathroom that was much larger than I expected, and looked like it had recently been refurbished . Some previous reviewers had mentioned thin walls and noise. My room was at the end of a corridor on the first floor with only one neighbouring room. I might have heard their television a couple of times, but not particularly late, and I had earplugs with me for sleeping, as I usually do when I'm staying in an unknown place. I slept soundly on all three nights. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with everything I wanted and more: cold meats, seeded bread rolls, natural yoghurt and boiled eggs. There is cereal, muesli, jam and fruit juice, too, and the fresh coffee, served individually at your table, was top quality. I was an early bird, arriving for breakfast when the buffet opened at 7am every day, and didn't see many other people there, even though the hotel was supposedly full. There are plenty of tables anyway, so you most likely wouldn't have to wait long, if at all, at a busier time. The hotel is within five minutes' walk of the central station (exit via Breslauer Platz), with easy access to the city centre and the river. I didn't want to splash out on a luxury hotel for my short stay, so chose the Brandenburger Hof for somewhere clean, centrally located and with a good breakfast. I chose well.
