The owner, Sander, is extremely typical in being tight and inconsiderate of customers who are not satisfied. We had a flood in our bathroom due to the walk in shower, and even though he tried to fix it, it still flooded afterwards. Nothing was done about keeping us happy or compensating for this terrible experience. Showers were limited for us, they were cut short and caused inconvenience with us left with shampoo in our hair! No complimentary drink to say sorry, in fact no-one even apologised for any of the unfortunate events that occurred with the shower! So shocking and completely unprofessional. When I then look at their target audience, I realise the majority of the customers are over the age of 60, so they probably are oblivious to all the problems. Very defensive staff, especially on check out who just looked as pathetic as a teenager being told off. She obviously had been warned by Sander and went straight into defence mode. Again, very amateur and unprofessional. Also, the soap and shampoo facilities for a so-called four star hotel was a joke. Locked in tubes and half empty on the day of arrival. Four or five star hotels usually utilise miniature toiletries. I have travelled a lot and know that this method is typical of 2/3 star hotels or motels, which I tend to avoid. Again a way of saving money and a short cut. Lame. Just lame. The buffet dinner was bland, tasteless and rather disgusting. It is not live cooking - it is a shambles; children fingering all the food with dirty hands, and then expecting us to eat it. No thanks. Waste of money and complete rip off room prices. Best of luck to this potential old people's home. If my grandparents were still alive, I would still not recommend the hotel to them. They would deserve better, as did we. Have the decency not to rate yourself on what is visible on the surface (the view/location etc) but actually on the ins and outs of staying there. It is terrible but the worst thing was the staff's attitude. I am so happy they do not treat customers like this in the UK. Shame on Sander and his appalling staff. Disgusting. Useless. Wunderbar willkommenes Personal. Entspannende Atmosphäre überall im Gebäude. Elegante Essensräume. Großes komfortables Schlafzimmer mit guten Einrichtungen im Zimmer. Sehr schönes Abendessen (für einen separaten Preis) und ein angenehmes Frühstück (inklusive Preis). Es gibt keine Aufzüge, aber wenn Sie große Taschen haben, könnte das ein Problem sein (das heißt, das Personal hat uns mit unseren Lichtbeuteln geholfen). Das Zimmer, das wir ins Zimmer gelangen hatten, macht es schwierig, herauszukommen, da Sie die Tür nach unten zu ziehen. Ich würde gern kommen und wieder auf dieser Unterkunft bleiben.

Leuk chalet in een mooie omgeving. Dichtbij het centrum. Leuk aan het water. Mooie omgeving om te fietsen of varen. Het weer doet alles. Voor mindervaliden is Giethoorn erg lastig met de vele bruggetjes en smalle paadjes

Die allgemeine Umgebung ist gut, die Nacht ist sehr ruhig, die grundlegenden Einrichtungen sind vorhanden, die Schalenfüllung und andere, das Restaurant und die Attraktionen sind auch in der Nähe, jeden Morgen gibt es Schalen und die Tiger vor dem Schwimmen, es ist sehr empfehlenswert.

When you approach through the forest and waterways this monster in a large pond intrigues. Located next to the old Waterloopkundig or hydrological research centre this building from the sixties with its concrete look, has been fully remodelled and modernized. Nice couches and surroundings created in the main entrance and the hallways. Plenty of parking space and possibility to stall your bikes and bicycles. One strange thing is that they demand immediate payment of the room (even when we had given a credit card guarantee) though you can charge bar and restaurant on the room. All rooms have a balcony overlooking the pond and they have a lot of space. They are modern and supplied with a safe and coffeemaker. Good beds and perfect shower. The lights for reading at the seats and for shaving at the wash basin are faint and don't really help. For the rest, no remarks to the rooms though the decoration on the walls is a little bit of everything. The restaurant offered a special asparagus menu due to the season. We assume they do more of these specialties. The normal dishes have a decent variety and there is the possibility of the chef's choice in meat, fish or vegetarian (recommendable). With the option of strolling alongside the old research objects in the moors and woodlands and the good cycling options, this new (opened at 31 March 2023) hotel is an excellent extra for the Fletcher brand.

Fantastische culinaire ervaring in prachtig gelegen gebouw en domein, top zesgangenmenu zeer verfijnd, ook zeer degelijke aangepaste wijnen zoals witte Italiaanse Langhe Massolino, excellente Rias Baixas Albarino Granbazan, stevige Zuidafrikaanse Stellenbosch Strydom. Uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel die alles naar wens maakt, mijn vrouw kon bijvoorbeeld zonder problemen een aangepaste lichte versie van het gastronomisch menu kiezen. Heerlijke, uiterst ruime en luxueze ingerichte kamers om het geheel af te ronden. Een werkelijk topadres, en dit alles voor correcte prijzen voor dit 5-sterrenniveau (200 € voor kamer inc ontbijt, 96 € /6 gangenmenu, met wijnarrangement +50 €/6 glazen).Heerlijk en zeer verfijnd ontbijt.
