This small, family owned resort is gorgeous. It’s tiny, so if you’re looking for tons of different types of cuisine and night life- this isn’t the place for you (I was in bed by 9pm on two nights of my trip…my dream come true). I felt safe the entire time I was on property and at the beach bar. The food they offer is AMAZING (seriously dreaming of that lime-tortilla soup), the beach bar right next door also has some food options. It was all freshly prepared and delivered to our room or the beach for us! Tony & crew were SO accommodating!! The beach bar has amazing drinks as well (one too many “Dirty Monkeys” did lead to the best beach nap ever) & it the views are GORGEOUS!!! I had a pool facing room, and my parent had a beach facing condo and I enjoyed both. The rooms are cold, showers are hot, & the beds are clean. There’s some things as far as the rooms go that aren’t five star (zebra sheets are weird, there’s some mineralization on the faucets & shower)- but you’re in the jungle & on a beach so that constant humidity provides some wear and tear. The things that mattered (clean, cold A/C, Hot shower) were all there. There was also smart TVs in the rooms and strong wifi. And I slept like a rock on my king sized bed. I had read some prior reviews about the “king sized beds” being 2 twin mattresses put together but I was pleasantly surprised to find that we all had king sized mattresses. I only wore shoes for like 5% of my entire vacation!! I had a FABULOUS time & will return year after year. Also- if you walk down the beach about 200 yard there’s beach side massages- best massage of my life. I’m sitting at home trying to figure out how to quit my job, sell my belongings and move to Villas De Rosa- that’s how much I loved it!!

Entspannend und schönen Urlaub auf der Palmenseite geblieben und liebte die kalte Atmosphäre der Strand ist schön und täglich Yoga auf dem Pier war die Highlight 🧘‍♀️ großer Trinkservice auf dem Strand erstaunlich Wildlife .. Restaurants waren groß wirklich genossen die Essen alle Mitarbeiter waren hilfreich und freundlich würde sehr empfehlen

Mein Lebensgefährte und ich haben hier unseren gemeinsamen Urlaub verbracht. Die Anlage ist schön, viele Tiere und eine kleine Bucht zum Baden. Die Restaurants sind auch alle einen Besuch wert. Leider ist das Personal (insbesondere Rezeption) sehr unfreundlich und nicht Hilfsbereit. So wurde unser Zimmer am dritten Tag doppelt belegt. Auf einmal standen fremde Gäste in unserem Zimmer, zum Glück waren wir zu dem Zeitpunkt schon vom Ausflug zurück. An der Rezeption haben wir dann nachgefragt und uns auch beschwert, dass fremde Personen Zugriff auf unser Zimmer haben. Es gab keine Entschuldigung, stattdessen wurden wir äußert unhöflich behandelt und es wurde uns gesagt, wir hatten längst das Zimmer wechseln müssen, man habe uns nur vergessen zu informieren. Eine Woche später hing an unserem neuen Zimmer ein Brief, dass das Gebäude Probleme mit den Wasserrohren hat, wir uns bitte an der Rezeption melden sollen. Nach dem Frühstück bin ich mit dem Brief zur Rezeption. Dort wusste keiner der Mitarbeiter was in unserem Gebäude los ist und ob wir das Zimmer wechseln müssen. Die Mitarbeiterin hat mir dann als Entschädigung ein Upgrade versprochen. Ich habe ein neues Armband bekommen und das Upgrade unterschrieben. Da wir erneut einen Ausflug hatten und noch kein neues zimmer frei war, sollten wir die Koffer gepackt im alten Zimmer lassen. Wenn wir abends zurück sind, sollten die Koffer im neuen Zimmer sein. Soweit so gut. Als wir abends zurück waren, wusste der diensthabende Rezeptionist nichts von unserem Fall. Es wurde keine Notiz hinterlassen. Die Koffer waren auch nicht mehr im alten Zimmer. Sie mussten gesucht werden. Ein Vorgestzer wurde gerufen. Da ich fließend spanisch spreche habe ich die ganze Konversation verstehen. Bevor wir ein neues Zimmer bekommen haben, musste ein Mitarbeiter vorgehen, um nachzuschauen ob das neue Zimmer auch Frei ist. Das neue Zimmer hatte eine deutlich schlechtere Lage und war nicht besser ausgestattet. Mein Freund ist deshalb nochmal zur Rezeption und hat mit dem Chef der Rezeption nochmal gesprochen. Da ihm keine Informationen vorlagen gab es kein Update. Die neuen Armbänder wären keine Nachweis und den unterschriebenen Zettel habe er nicht gefunden. Da mittlerweile über 3 Stunden vergangen waren, sind wir dann ins Bett. Wir haben für Sie letzten Tage kein Update erhalten. Die freundlichkeit des Personals lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig. Wir hatten sehr oft das Gefühl das das Hotel keine Organisation hat und überfordert ist. Kundenzufriedenheit scheint nicht wichtig zu sein. Ein schöner erholsamer Urlaub haben wir so nicht erlebt, da wir jede Woche mit Unannehmlichkeiten zu kämpfen hatten.

Wir sind am einem späten Nachmittag angekommen. Die Anlage machte einen ordentlichen Eindruck. Der Strand sieht Recht gut aus und war nicht überfüllt. Zumindest nicht mit Menschen, nur mit Seegras. Die Zimmer sind ordentlich ausgestattet, wenn auch nicht herausragend. Das Abendessen ist akzeptabel, wenn auch sportlich bepreist. Das Frühstück ist mit Abstand das Beste was wir auf unserer Mexikorundreise hatten. Doch langsam bahnte sich das Unheil an was sich hier jeden Tag wiederholt: Eine Karawane von Kleinbussen steuert die Hotelanlage an und erbricht unaufhörlich Hunderte bis Tausende externe Gäste die für den Rest des Tages den kompletten Strand und das Wasser bevölkern. Ein roter Teppich von Schwimmwesten mit Köpfen dran bedeckt das Wasser an den ohnehin kleinen Strandabschnitt von 200 Metern. Der Hotelstrand ist wohl das Mekka zum Schnorcheln mit Schildkröten. Das ganze erinnert aber eher an eine Treibjagd. Diesen Touristenmassen entkommt keine Schildkröte mehr. Dieser rote Teppich an Schwimmwesten wird gelegentlich durchpflügt von einem Boot, welches weitere Touristen 50 Meter weiter raus bringt. Die Szenerie erinnert auf makabere Weise an unerfreuliche Szenen die man sonst nur vom Mittelmeer kennt. Dauernd wird man am Strand angesprochen von Guides die mit einem gebührenpflichtig ins Wasser wollen. Das läuft auf der Reeperbahn nicht viel anders. Eigenständiges Baden ist hier untersagt, da man sonst das hiesige Geschäftsmodell gefährdet. Das gilt auch für Hotelgäste! Das Treiben nimmt bis zum Nachmittag kein Ende. Touristen geben sich die Kinke in Form von Schwimmwesten in die Hand, bis gegen Abend der Strom allmählich versiegt. Am Ende stellt sich für mich nur eine Frage, die mir einfach nicht aus dem Kopf geht: wie unglaublich bekloppt sind eigentlich Schildkröten?

Loved my stay here! Went with my siblings and my boyfriend and hard the best time there! Lovely room and food were amazing!

We spent a week in the Tulum/Akumal area. And by far this was our most favorite experience. Cesar was our tour guide and he clearly has a passion for the work there, extremely knowledgeable and shared about the flora & fauna. We learned so much during the tour and tasted a tiny pepper. He demonstrated the links between the plant life and animals there, history and the importance of their work to maintain the Eco balance. Strongly recommend bringing deet free insect repellent, as there is an aggressive swarming mosquitoes, they do sell it and it actually works, we bought extra bottles to bring home. There were so many special moments. It’s really hard to pick which one the monkeys were especially adorable and we were allowed to hold their hand & pet them. We gave them peanuts and watched them swing around living their best life, a beautiful surprise when a bunch of wild monkeys chasing each other in the treetops and we just watched them for a while, we never felt rushed. It was amazing. I never thought my life I’d ever see anything like that. Truly special. They had many other animals that they are trying to rehabilitate however someone unfortunately have been abused and neglected, unable to be released so they take so they continue with their care. They need our support to continue their solid work. After learning and interacting with many other animals, and after our very humid walk, we jumped into the cool stunning underground cenote. We were with a small group so we had it all to ourselves a stark difference from the other cenotes we visited. But wait, there’s more! Then onto Milopena Honey tasting from the stingless Mayan, honey bee that only produces very small amounts every year and definitely had a unique floral citrusy flavor, so different from the traditional honey. It was expensive, but it made the perfect gift versus a traditional souvenir. All the proceeds go to their rehabilitation efforts. They have an on-site restaurant that provides many great options. We had the garlic whitefish it was excellent. I know there’s tons of things to do in the Yucatán but this definitely has to be in the top five.
