Sistemazione incantevole, molto accogliente e carina. Dispone di un frigorifero ma non c'è una cucina condivisa quindi per la colazione e la cena uno deve organizzarsi direttamente in stanza oppure cenare fuori. Facile da raggiungere passando davanti alla cascata Urriđafoss che meritano una sosta. Consigliata!

After struggling to find it, and driving treacherous icy roads off the main highway (and we are used to winter driving), we ended up loving this place. Only about 20 rooms. Rooms are very nice, spa services were not available but the indoor hot pool was good. There were 8 ft snow drifts to get from the main building to it! Restaurant was excellent even though there were only a few guests. We lost power one morning but they managed to get breakfast out. And the two dogs, Tinna and ???. Can't remember the other name, but Tinna (icelandic sheepdog) took a liking to us and napped in our room until the rogue raven came around. Seriously, it torments that poor dog and she went ballistic chasing it around outside. Then it just flys away until another time. And at 8AM the next morning Tinna quietly scratched on our door to come in. :) They made us a good lunch one day and the hosts were super nice and chatty. My wife discovered cod liver oil that was available at breakfast. Nope for me. This place must be amazing in the summer. We highly recommend it. Good location for the Golden Road, although we were not impressed by that journey, way too many people even in February.

Sehr sauber, selbsthilfengemacht (in der Datentasche der Rezeption eingetragene Namensschild), es gibt einen Rahmen in die Tür, die Schüssel kann nicht eindringen, also denken Sie daran, mit einem Schleier zu gehen. We had a nice night at Country Dream. Our room although not large, was comfortable. we had 1 bedroom and a pull out sofa.... but wait.... The pull out sofa was not like any normal one where you have to pull everything off and have a bar in your back, it was a case of simply pulling a cord and the whole sofa turned upside down into a bed that was as comfortable as the bed in the bedroom. It took 20 seconds to pull out the bed and 20 seconds to put it back the next morning. The room had a small kitchenette which was adequate for cooking a simple meal. There was also a hot tub available to use with our room. As a bonus, we were invited to go into the stable to visit the owner's very friendly Icelandic horses. He also organised for a beautiful Icelandic Sheepdog to come and visit us. Country Dream is on a horse farm about 5 - 15 minutes drive from the main road between Geysir and Selfoss depending on the conditions. In the right conditions, it would give a great opportunity to see the Northern lights. If you are staying here in winter, I recommend that you ask your rental car company to provide you with a car with metal beads (studs) in the tyres as the road was very icy when we left due to rainfall and freezing temperatures.

We stayed here for one night and found to be comfortable enough. Located in centre of Selfoss only minutes away from the local shops and 15 minutes drive from Kerid crater. It’s on the camping ground offering something for all. For the price you pay can’t really complaint about the place. The staff is very polite and friendly, ample parking, cottages are big enough for a quick stay during a road trip. When we entered the cottage we had a stale smell which eventually went away once we settled in or we got used to it. It is maintained to a good standard but could do with a bit of maintenance on door and windows. Has basic amenities for a self catering stay. We opted for the one with shower, clean with toiletries and fresh towels provided. Every time we ran the water the sink and the drains would stink, may be could be improved. Overall a good and comfortable stay.
