Finde Hotels in Selfoss

After struggling to find it, and driving treacherous icy roads off the main highway (and we are used to winter driving), we ended up loving this place. Only about 20 rooms. Rooms are very nice, spa services were not available but the indoor hot pool was good. There were 8 ft snow drifts to get from the main building to it! Restaurant was excellent even though there were only a few guests. We lost power one morning but they managed to get breakfast out. And the two dogs, Tinna and ???. Can't remember the other name, but Tinna (icelandic sheepdog) took a liking to us and napped in our room until the rogue raven came around. Seriously, it torments that poor dog and she went ballistic chasing it around outside. Then it just flys away until another time. And at 8AM the next morning Tinna quietly scratched on our door to come in. :) They made us a good lunch one day and the hosts were super nice and chatty. My wife discovered cod liver oil that was available at breakfast. Nope for me. This place must be amazing in the summer. We highly recommend it. Good location for the Golden Road, although we were not impressed by that journey, way too many people even in February.

Sehr sauber, selbsthilfengemacht (in der Datentasche der Rezeption eingetragene Namensschild), es gibt einen Rahmen in die Tür, die Schüssel kann nicht eindringen, also denken Sie daran, mit einem Schleier zu gehen. Es gibt eine Tür, aber es gibt keine Schleife unterhalb, sodass das Wasser ausfließt. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut. Im Allgemeinen wird es den Freunden empfohlen.

Die Lage ist sehr gut und es ist sehr leicht zu finden. Es befindet sich gegenüber der Tankstelle, dem Supermarkt und dem KFC. Unten befindet sich das Geschäft 66. Hinter dem Haus befindet sich ein kostenloser Parkplatz. Wir hatten eine Suite mit vier Betten und einem Schlafsofa, aber wir lebten nur für drei Personen, was ein bisschen extravagant wirkte, hahaha. Die Toiletten sind auch groß und sehr komfortabel zu bedienen. Die Küchenausstattung war auch sehr komplett. Obwohl wir nutzlos waren, sah es gut aus. Das kleine Mädchen, das eingecheckt hat, hat schätzungsweise nicht genügend Erfahrung (sieht aber wirklich gut aus, blond). Ich habe zum ersten Mal Leute wie uns getroffen, die schlechtes Englisch haben, also war ich zu Beginn der Kommunikation müde. Obwohl ich es später herausgefunden habe, war es immer noch aufrichtig Es wird empfohlen, dass das kleine Mädchen auf einfachere Weise Englisch spricht oder einige englische Erinnerungen frühzeitig herausnimmt (wir finden später Papiere mit englischen Erinnerungen).

We had a nice night at Country Dream. Our room although not large, was comfortable. we had 1 bedroom and a pull out sofa.... but wait.... The pull out sofa was not like any normal one where you have to pull everything off and have a bar in your back, it was a case of simply pulling a cord and the whole sofa turned upside down into a bed that was as comfortable as the bed in the bedroom. It took 20 seconds to pull out the bed and 20 seconds to put it back the next morning. The room had a small kitchenette which was adequate for cooking a simple meal. There was also a hot tub available to use with our room. As a bonus, we were invited to go into the stable to visit the owner's very friendly Icelandic horses. He also organised for a beautiful Icelandic Sheepdog to come and visit us. Country Dream is on a horse farm about 5 - 15 minutes drive from the main road between Geysir and Selfoss depending on the conditions. In the right conditions, it would give a great opportunity to see the Northern lights. If you are staying here in winter, I recommend that you ask your rental car company to provide you with a car with metal beads (studs) in the tyres as the road was very icy when we left due to rainfall and freezing temperatures.

Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber, das Hotel gut eingerichtet. Man hatte eine sehr große Auswahl am Frühstücksbuffet. Schade, dass man das den SPA Bereich extra zahlen musste. Alle Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten waren fusßläufig zu erreichen. Perfekt für die erste Nacht in Island.

Großes Hotel am Platz, sehr zentral gelegen, alles was in Selfoss interessant sein könnte ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Die Zimmer sind groß und gut ausgestattet, sauber und hell. Der Stil befremdet etwas, ist aber Geschmachssache. Viele amerikanische Bustouristen, was es etwas laut auf dem Flur und beim Frühstück macht. Das Frühstück ist hervorragend, enorme Auswahl für Island! Drumherum gibt es verschiedenste gastronomische Angebote, besonders empfehlenswert ist der Kurde schräg über der Straße. Das Personal könnte ein wenig herzlicher sein, war aber nicht unfreundlich. Alles in allem sehr gut, schönes Angebot, absolut sauber und korrekt, empfehlenswert.

Overall we loved our stay at Grimsborgir, but I would like to begin by mentioning a few aspects that can be improved. When we arrived the room seemed dusty, as if not used by other guests for a long time and then not freshened up before we arrived. This improved after the first night. The cleaning staff also made a few mistakes like taking towels without replacing them and forgetting items like wiping cloths or cleaning sprays in random places - this happened on 3 out of 6 days. Also the design of the double bed was a bit minimalistic - it did not have a headboard - compared to other double beds from less expensive rooms in your hotel this is a mild disappointment. Overall we were very happy with our stay in your hotel - we had everything we needed and we would gladly stay with you again. I just have one question which I would be very grateful if you could answer me. What kind of mattress did the double bed have? We found it to be extremely pleasant to sleep on and I would like to buy one if you could tell me where from. Einfach zu finden. In der Nähe gibts viele Geschäften. Zimmer war klein aber alles in Ordnung. Würde hier weiter empfelen.
