It's hard to write an honest review of this hotel because there's not really any fault with it in itself... BUT... it is VERY remote right at the top of a mountain about 10 miles outside of the city and it takes at least an hour to get back and forth along a very narrow winding road so, if like us, you were thinking of staying here and popping back and forth, think again. The hotel is really a ski hotel and geared mainly to accommodate the small ski resort nearby therfore the season it caters for is winter. This wasn't clear at the time of booking so when we arrived at the end of the summer (September) the pool was closed for cleaning, there was no drinking water due to seasonal maintenence and other services closed or limited etc. Having booked to stay the week we cancelled our booking and only stayed the one night. Bottom line is it's a nice, clean hotel and the staff were all very friendly but it wasn't what we we're led to believe at the time of booking, hence writing this review in the hope that it stops other travellers being misled.

Das ist ein wunderbares Familienhotel, das wir absolut wieder aufhalten würden (Ich glaube, es ist seit fast 200 Jahren von der gleichen Familie gehalten). Wir blieben im Elizabeta Zimmer. Unser Zimmer war geräumig und sauber. Das Zimmer hatte ein historisches Gefühl mit dem Dekor, aber es war noch modern und komfortabel. Es gab ein schönes Wohnbereich im Zimmer mit Stühlen, Sofa, Desk und Kaffeetisch. Das Badezimmer war auch geräumig mit einem schönen tiefen Schaumtube. Das Personal war wunderbar. Jeder war freundlich und wir hatten keine Schwierigkeiten, mit ihnen in Englisch zu kommunizieren. Das Frühstück hatte eine Vielzahl von Möglichkeiten, uns bis zum Beginn des Tages zu füllen. Das Hotel selbst ist schön mit historischen Bildern und Objekten in allen gemeinsamen Bereichen. Ihr Familienrestaurant ist direkt über die Straße, die lecker und bequem war. Eines Abends gingen wir zum Vordertafel und fragten, ob es uns gut wäre, unser Abendessen für die Ausführung zu bekommen. Der Mann am Vordertafel gab uns ein Menü, fragte, was wir wollten, und dann brachte er das Essen in unser Zimmer, als es bereit war, was eine schöne Überraschung war. Wir hatten erwartet, dass wir uns übergehen und bestellen und es zurückbringen, so dass der zusätzliche Kundenservice wirklich nett war. Bitte beachten Sie, dass es nicht im historischen Zentrum von Zagreb ist, so dass Sie fahren müssen, wenn das ist, wo Sie jeden Tag zu gehen. Wir hatten ein Auto, so dass das kein Problem für uns war. Es war nur etwa 5 Minuten Fahrt. Sie hatten eine Menge Parkplätze für Gäste, die schön und komfortabel war. Wir liebten unseren Aufenthalt und würden sicherlich hier wieder bleiben.

Well preserved classic hotel, positioned at 2km from center, on a hill, sorrounded by a mini forest. The rooms are huge, the staff is professional. 24/7 reception, room service and a beatiful terrace with restauranr service till 22:00. The indoor restaurant reminds me of the golden era, very classy, the entire hote is full of beatiful paintings. On the minus, it gets a bit noisy, if you are a gentle sleeper like me…not so good.
