Das Hotel Spa Le Calendal überstieg unsere Erwartungen - das ist ein Boutique-Hotel, das wirklich alles richtig macht. Wir besuchten den Geburtstag meiner Frau und alle, die im Gebäude arbeiteten, machten uns besonders. Das Zimmer hatte einen ausgezeichneten Blick auf das römische Theater über die Straße, und das ganze Zimmer war ohne Spott. Das ist ein Hotel, das offensichtlich sehr gut verwaltet ist - es gibt so viele ”kleine Extras” wie kostenloses Refillable Wasser, Zugang zum fantastischen kleinen Spa, vernünftige Preise für Frühstück, ob im Buffet oder wenige Mahlzeiten an der Straße ...alle Aspekte der Die Kundenerfahrung wurde durchdacht und sie führen alles schön aus. Das Personal ist so freundlich und hilfreich - wir trafen nicht eine Person, die dort arbeitete, die uns nicht wertgefühlt hat. Wir werden zurück sein!

The location and the price are the best part of this hotel. The parking, while very affordable, was difficult to find and not as easy to get to and from despite the description. It may only be a ten minute walk, but it is uphill, which for older folks is not easy. I suggest the hotel re-explain how to find the parking as well as giving some kind of drop off option for luggage. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. I am over 60 and could not carry up a big suitcase two flights of stairs. The hotel clerk did this for me and I greatly appreciated his kindness. The breakfast was adequate and served its purpose. Surprisingly, the hotel is decorated very nicely, but the rooms could use an upgrade. All in all, the hotel for one night is doable, i might look elsewhere for longer stays.

The hotel is in a very convenient position couple of minutes from the train station and just within the old walls of the old city. At check in, one of the staff had decent english so explained what was where in the old town and some recommendations. Outside of the hotel there are road works going on but room double glazed which made the soundproofing excellent. The only issue was the room was very hot/stuffy. Helpful to have a mini- fridge in room but it heats up the cupboard and the room. Everything within the old town is easily accessible as mostly pedestrianised and impossible to get lost. If you have got to the river, the road or the walls turn around! The hotel was good value and comfortable. I would not stay here for more than 3 or 4 days, but you only need a couple of days to see Arles so ideal for a brief visit. There are loads of places to eat nearby plus variety of small shops and a Monoprix on the roundabout. There was also a large outdoor market on the Wednesday we were there with loads of stalls selling everything from mattresses to bananas!

We stayed one night at this property before going on a river cruise. We arrived before check in time but the hotel owner was there and arranged to get our room ready for us. When she saw the size of our luggage, she upgraded us to a larger room. The room was still pretty small, but it's an historic building so that's to be expected. It was very comfortable, safe and quiet and met all our needs. The decor was very pretty. The restaurant was very good, with many of the foods made in their own kitchen. They were able to accommodate my gluten allergy which was a big bonus for us. We enjoyed sitting on the patio, with a glass of wine, watching all the activity on the street. The location is perfect. A short and easy walk from the train station. And right inside the walls of the Old Town. Lots of quaint historic streets to stroll. The staff made this the perfect hotel for us. The owner was there much of the time. The desk staff and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. They were all very patient with my attempts to speak French, but they were all much more bilingual than me. Being understood wasn't a problem. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it!

Das Hotel hat einen großen kostenlosen Parkplatz. Die Lage ist doch recht außerhalb der Stadt, aber absolut ruhig. Zu Fuß braucht man etwa eine halbe Stunde in die Altstadt. Empfang freundlich, Zimmer etwas abgewohnt, aber noch ok. Die Duschbrause konnte man nicht an der Stange befestigen. Im Hotel gibt es ein Restaurant, da muss man sich aber grundsätzlich anmelden, warum eigentlich? Etwa weil es keine Restaurants in der Gegend gibt? Eine Speisenkarte zur vorherigen Einsicht gibt es jedenfalls nicht, auch nicht auf der Webseite. Ein Gutschein für ein Begrüßungsgetränk wurde an der Bar nicht eingelöst (es war eine Vertretung in der Bar), als später der offizielle Barmann kam, wurden unsere Getränke nach einiger Diskussion aber erstattet, immerhin das war ok. In der näheren und weiteren Umgebung ist alles vermüllt, normaler Müll, Sperrmüll etc. Sieht man aber nur, wenn man mal eine Runde um das Hotel dreht. Frühstück war soweit ok, nur das Obst in den Obstkörben lag offensichtlich schon sehr, sehr, sehr lange da drin und sah entsprechend aus. Alles in allem kann man da schon übernachten.

We were very disappointed in the rooms of this hotel. It was misrepresented online. We arrived 2 weeks ago in the evening and the staff was very communicative before our arrival. Julie was responsive via emails and helped us into town to unload the car with our belongings. We trekked up the narrow and unique spiral staircase to the top floor where our room was hot and musty. There was not a lot of room for our clothes as we were 3 staying for 4 nights. We turned on the AC and before we could ask questions or try to settle in I had to move my car as I could not park in the walled city. By the time I returned. Julie had left for the evening and my wife was not happy with the room. The man who was at the desk became unfriendly when he realized we were not satisfied with the room. It was not cooling off and it was not what the pictures portrayed. This is not a 3 star hotel. I would say it's like the equivalent of a super 8 or motel 6 in the U.S.. It was very plain with instructions for your stay hanging from the bottom of a small television in a corner. The 1/4 size fridge was on the floor under a small desk. The rustic walls were water stained in a non pleasant way. We ended up leaving and finding alternative accommodations within 2 hours of our arrival. We had tried to go through the 3rd party (who we booked with) but was unsuccessful, because they explained that it would be up to the hotel to refund any or partial payment. The hotel did not offer alternate rooms or even a partial refund as we did not stay any of the nights there. When we finally got an email from the owner they were not helpful and when we called the evening before they said to call in the morning. The only thing I can say for this hotel is that it is in a great location (the hotel we ended up at was close by).

Das Hotel steht vor Place Voltaire, wo Sie mehrere Restaurants finden. 3 Stockwerke mit einer anderen heißen Provinzfarbe sind über Treppen oder einen kleinen Aufzug zugänglich. Eine komplette Bibliothek von Designbüchern spiegelt das hell farbige Erdgeschoss Restaurant/Bar, wo Sie von der Personalkommission begrüßt werden, sie sind dort auf ihrem Laptop stationiert. Jedes Zimmer ist eine Designerfahrung mit gepflegten Möbeln, Lampen und Wandkunst. Die Mini-Weinkellarven in den Zimmern sind mit verschiedenen Weinen für eine Weinprobenerfahrung gespeichert. Englischsprachiges Upbeat-Personal sind super hilfreich. Ich würde gerne wieder dort bleiben.
