A solid place, extremely pleasant staff, breakfast area absolutely spotless.

We have just had a great stay at the St Andrews House Hotel. The room was clean and comfy, the breakfast was freshly cooked and the staff very friendly and helpful. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the Preston area .

Excellent all round!

It was an interesting start to this stay. We arrived at the main door and pressed the doorbell. A voice told us to phone the hotel to gain information for entry. It was pouring with rain so we went back to our car to telephone as requested. We were then told to go to the door and enter the code given. At first this would not work but after another try the door opened and we made our way to our room on the top floor. As my glasses were covered in raindrops I didn't see the low lintel in the bedroom as I placed my bags on the floor. I hit my forehead and it was so painful and made me feel dizzy. After going out for our evening meal we decided we would like a shower/bath but there was no soap/shampoo or shower gel in the bathroom. We thought this was an oversight so my husband went downstairs and asked about it. He was told " we only provide this at weekends!" but they gave him some as we hadn't brought anything of this sort from home. We were amazed by this. (ps The breakfast was good.)

Came to Preston to surprise son for his birthday. Stayed here for 1 night. 2 bookings, 2 rooms. Room 6 is with a shared bathroom. Daughter stayed in room 6. Me and husband stayed in room 2 with private bathroom. Very warm welcome. Told all info including how to work the door if shut. Room was lovely and clean. Small double bed, very soft and squishy! Bathroom contained toilet, sink, shower (didn't use shower so can't comment on jt. Breakfast was included in room price and was lovely. Choice of cereal, toast, cooked breakfast. Had the cooked breakfast which comprised of bacon, sausage, plum tomato, mushroom, beans, hash brown, fried egg and toast. Choice of tea, coffee, filter coffee, juice. Only downside was very squeaky flooring...no matter where you step, it creaks, but that's what happens when it's a proper wood floor! Carpets are lovely and thick!!!!! About 15 mins taxi ride from town! Definitely recommend this place and will stay again if staying overnight in Preston.

If you are looking for somewhere to return to very drunk at 3.30am waking up other guest(s) in the process and continuing banging doors, going out for a fag and talking loudly until 5am with the management not minding much, this might be right up your street. On the other hand if you are looking for a quiet night's sleep in a respectable hotel with a zero tolerance policy for drunk and disorderly conduct - AVOID. It's a shame because the rooms appear to have been refurbished recently to a decent standard, with a pleasant light bathroom and modern shower. The management also advise guests to ignore tripadvisor reviews because "they are fake". Form your own opinion from this.

The hotel is terrible would never go there again the worse one in preston by far no sitting area downstairs always got builders doing work and making noise never again keep away from it I wouldn't book their again very poor experience .......

The hotel is very much a boutique hotel with all the right details. My room was spacious and incredibly clean, linen and towels were fresh. Breakfast was made to order and delicious. Service is above and beyond and the cherry on top is that it’s owner operated.

Warm and friendly welcome from the hostess on arrival. Spotlessly clean, modern and comfortable rooms, with cute little additional extras, that didn’t go unnoticed. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, with an array of choice, and our breakfast hostess Ann, was a little ray of sunshine. So friendly, helpful and accommodating. Would definitely stay again, and will be recommending to friends and family.

Due to an unexpected change in my plans, I had to book a hotel in Preston. I had no prior knowledge of St. Andrew’s House Hotel, but I was very pleasantly surprised with everything. Everyone was so friendly, obliging and helpful and the standard of everything was first class. My single room was fairly small but totally adequate. My room and the hotel as a whole were absolutely spotless. There was a great selection of different breakfasts, which were absolutely excellent. I would definitely recommend St. Andrew’s to others and I would certainly stay there again if I needed a hotel in Preston. Thank you, Lorraine and the other staff.

Stayed here for a weekend break for 2 nights. Got a warm & friendly welcome, stayed in room 1 which has a double bed. The double bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to stay in Preston.

What a lovely hotel, the host was very welcoming the room was spotlessly clean and breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice served by the lovely Ann all in all a perfect little breakaway in Preston

Absolutely fantastic place to stay, amazing value for money. Good location with easy access to the lakes and surrounding areas Will be booking again when staying up north. Great breakfast and friendly, helpful staff.
