Can’t fault the room at all. Got everything you need but I only stayed for one night. The bathroom is very tiny but the problem is the smell of the drain. You can smell it when you enter the building. My room is on the first floor and on the right hand side when you walk up the stairs. Decent enough hotel

Just got home after staying in The Blue Spruce penthouse apartment here. Cannot fault the apartment. Was a good size lounge kitchen area, bedroom a good size and so was the bathroom with large shower plus freestanding bath. The only problem was the smell when we went into the bedroom. Definitely a cat piss smell...even though it's supposed to be " no pets" policy. Messaged the owners who said the smell must be coming from outside...it wasn't! They told us they would send someone to change the bedding...not the issue as the bedding was clean! I messaged back telling them this. On returning back in on Saturday evening the smell was just as bad....had to have a fan on and windows open all night. On leaving on Sunday morning I messaged the owners again saying the smell was on the carpet in the corner of the bedroom...definitely a cat piss smell!! Now 3 hours later and no reply from them to say they've been to check it out...or sorry your stay wasn't as enjoyable as we would of hoped. Not the best service. Wouldn't stay again or recommend the place unfortunately as other reviews were good.

Very nice room, high end fixtures and fittings, very clean, great facilities, smooth service from check in to check out. Excellent location over looking the park. If you’re looking for accommodation in Preston look no further than these rooms.

Absolutely great apartments. Very clean, high spec finish, lovely linen and great location: central to Preston centre, minutes from the train station and Avenham Park, just yards away is a stunning park by the river and a must visit. Can't rate the place highly enough. We will be recommending it to others and would definitely book again.

I initially booked and paid for this stay back in January but due to ill health I could no longer stay. The stay was put on credit for me and less than a week ago I got in touch asking if it was possible to use the stay this weekend just gone due to a mishap with calendar clashes. With no issues or delays, it was instantly organised for myself and my partner to stay there, and our room was even upgraded a larger room which was available at short notice. I questioned late at night when I arrived where I could park due to uncertainties with signage, and was immediately advised whilst I was still in the car! We stayed in the Lime Tree room and it was beautiful! Very modern, thoroughly clean, and there were even tea, coffee, milk, bottled water and snacks available which was a great finishing touch and a saving grace for the unorganised! The bed was extremely comfortable, the bedding is great hotel quality too. We will be regularly visiting Preston for our sport as we compete in a local Strength & Performance gym, and we absolutely will be back. It’s definitely made us rethink about driving up and down the country on the day, and put us at ease after previous bad experiences. Winkley Square Residences is the place to stay if you are ever in Preston, located in a lovely area, and an even nicer place to rest your head, run by very helpful and genuinely nice people.
