Belle Epoque

Stayed here for a few days whilst visiting Chinon. Basic but clean room with comfy clean bed and en suite. Locked secure car park which was great for our open topped three wheelers. Very good buffet breakfast and friendly staff. Fair price too. Recommended.

Check in was efficient and easy. Staff absolutely delightful. The room was extremely "bijou", certainly no room for error and on the second floor, with no lift. Apart from the shower the room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. For me personally the shower was hard to negotiate, rather a high step in and out and with wet feet, I didn't really feel safe. Breakfast was adequate. We stayed for 2 nights and I was pleased that the room was tidied as soon as we left for the day. The resident cat was also very friendly. The only real downside was the bar didn't open in the evening, but we had a bottle of wine and sat on the lovely little terrace after our day exploring.

Caloroso accoglienza e check-in fatti da un signore gentilissimo Stanza di dimensioni medio-piccole e con arredamento datato ma ben conservato. La stanza dei nostri amici era in compenso piccolissima, senza armadio e la doccia era "chiusa" da una tenda! Quindi attenzione a quale camera vi viene assegnata. Letto comodo. Ambienti puliti anche se in camera si sentiva un odore costante di "stantio" probabilmente dovuto alla moquette. Bagno da sistemare in alcuni dettagli come ad esempio il telefono della doccia non stava fermo, scivolava verso il basso, qualche piastrella sbeccata, ecc. Shampoo e bagnoschiuma dati con il contagocce. No asciugacapelli in camera. A colazione solo cibi dolci. Punto dolente soprattutto per persone non più giovani: no ascensore e una stretta scala a chiocciola in legno. Positivo: il parcheggio gratuito privato. Nel complesso un buon rapporto qualità-prezzo.

Nous recommandons ce très bel hôtel. L'accueil, la sympathie du gérant, la qualité des lits, la propreté des chambres, le petit-déjeuner copieux, nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir. Nous avons apprécié que le sèche-linge soit mis à notre disposition après avoir passé une journée à vélo sous la pluie.

Hôtel plein de charme, calme et très propre. Gérant très sympathique et accueil très agréable. Chambre propre avec une bonne literie. Parking privé et sécurisé. Très joli bâtiment ! Et rien à redire sur le petit déjeuner. Je recommande vivement !!
