Hotel Gresi

Normal for few days is stay. At the reception they don’t speak English at all ,expect one guy. WiFi constantly interrupted, in the room mobile service hardly work. Very noisy outside due to some concerts . Poor breakfast only few sweets. However clean and close to the centre.

I made my reservation for 3 nights via *********** and as such paid for the room a few days before arrival and received confirmation the payment was successful. When I arrived, I discovered they don’t speak a word of English, which is fine being in Italy, however they refused to check me in because they were adamant I hadn’t paid. I used google translate, showed them email confirmation AND the money coming out of my account and they still wanted to pay another €140. After I refused to pay, the man told me to sit and wait, at which point I called through to *********** to try and get help. They tried to call the hotel to sort it out for me 3 times and all 3 times, the man hung up on them. After about 40 mins, another man turned up, turned on the computer, and immediately confirmed he could see I had paid and showed me to a room. (The first man never touched the computer to check). When I got to the room had no windows, was dirty, dated and the plug socket cover was hanging off the wall. It was so dreadful looking and the original man was so nasty that I chose not to stay and walked back out again, cancelling the reservation. There are much nicer hotels in the same area for a little more and they are so much more welcoming than this place. Don’t put yourself through the stress staying here!

Clean room with air con, desk, wardrobe. Modern (newly refurbished) clean bathroom. Clean linen and towels. Very central, close to sights, restaurants and shopping. Easy to get to the train station and airport via public transport. The building has beautiful ceiling frescos throughout and features antique furniture. Breakfast was included in my stay with croissant, rusk, tea. The staff/owners were really lovely and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

i really appreciate the strategic position central near via Etnea and a big market,lots of good restaurants on the corner via gemellaro, comfortable rooms,breackfast included with real good capucino, quiet and clean room , excellent value for your money!!!!!!! frigo provided, really kind staff

La posizione è super centrale, nel cuore di via Etnea, l'hotel si trova in un palazzo d'epoca. Le camere sono gigante e molto belle, pulite e spaziose. Il personale è gentilissimo e super disponibile. Non manca niente

Hôtel très bien situé, le long de la Via Etnea. Sa position géographique permet de visiter Catane à pied. Entrée par un porche avec sonnette. L'hôtel est un ancien palace au charme désuet avec quelques jolis plafonds. Les chambres sont très calmes et propres. Les notres donnaient sur une cour intérieure. Le seul bémol est le petit déjeuner. Il est servi à table: boisson chaude et un croissant. On peut ensuite se servir en jus de fruit, yaourt, biscotte, fromage et jambon mais pas de pain frais et cela manque vraiment.
