La Casa di Alma Luxury Rooms

Normaly we don't leave negative reviews, but on this occasion we felt we had to warn potential guests.  Definitely, the term luxury did not apply to this establishment. Main problems were cleanliness and staff behavior. The room had the impression of not being thoroughly cleaned, as if only the bed sheets and towels were changed.  The bathroom, floor, and balcony were quite dirty. In particular, the bathroom had trimmed hair on the sink and the floor, the glass for the toothbrushes had not been cleaned (it had stains of toothpaste from the previous guests), and the shower had obvious signs of mold, and a nasty smell was coming from the drain and filled the room.  The breakfast time was from 8 to 10, and we got there at 10:05 (ok, this was past the breakfast time; this was our mistake), but the behavior we got when we got there was very rude and insulting, which led to us not having breakfast there even on the second day and preferring to get breakfast somewhere outside.

Excellent choice for a B&B. The host was very friendly, providing not only a great experience but also was always available on WhatsApp for tips and great locations in and around Catania. The location of the B&B is in the center of the city - 2 minutes away from the main square and 10 minutes from the central bus/train station. The breakfast was great with a great variety of things to eat and drink. The lady at the breakfast was very sweet and caring. We would definitely choose the same place if we visit Catania again.

The b&b is vert well Kent ans organized . All manager very professionally Rooms are very nice and very cleaned The location is on the main road but the area around is not the best Breakfast ok, but little choice for people, like me, with gluten intolerance

We only stayed here for one night as travelling through and wanted to see Catania ( which is not, in our humble opinion, worth more than one day’s visit BTW). Ornella has put a lot of effort into her B&B and it shows, she is very welcoming and professional and the place is spotless. She had thought of everything for her guests comfort. We had a lovely room, just a bit noisy in the morning as it faced the main road but for one night it was ok. Room had a kettle and tea, water bottles etc., a very narrow parking also available for an extra fee but only drive to Catania if you have nerves of steel… Breakfast quite decent too.

OTTIMO! ottima posizione: fermate alibus vicina, il duomo si raggiunge in pochi minuti stanza ampia e ordinata, colazione buona, personale molto cortese il gestore Mario prodigo di indicazioni per noleggio auto , tour e ristorazione. molto disponibile sia prima che durante la permanenza

Eccellente posizione di questo confortevole B&B, dal quale si possono agevolmente raggiungere a piedi tutti i luoghi più belli della città. Le camere sono accoglienti e molto pulite, il gestore Dario e le signore che servono la prima colazione (una speciale menzione per la gentilissima Signora Pina) sono davvero cordiali oltre che efficienti e ti fanno sentire a casa.
