Voilá Signature Casa Isabel

Casa Isabel is possibly the best hotel stay we've ever had. In the past I think I've under-valued what a difference a hotel's staff can make but now I get it. The staff here is fabulous -Herman at breakfast, Julio in the afternoon and Rosanna at the desk were all so sweet, cheerful and so very helpful with taxis, restaurants, my confusion with the AC, always there with a cold towel and a glass of delicious juice. Our room was lovely with a small balcony overlooking the water and the fort, a colorful tiled shower, cotton robes, Netflix on TV, a comfy bed. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. I loved sitting on the upstairs terrace and watching the birds all the birds at sunset or taking a dunk in the plunge pool. The owner Luis was great and we loved being able to spend a couple nights at their other lovely small hotel on James Beach- so peaceful and such gorgeous sunsets. Thank all of you for making this such a fabulous experience.

We liked everything about this hotel. The hotel is in a great location a short walk from shops and restaurants and made a great base for our stay in Cartagena. The hotel is a comfortable place to stay with areas to sit in the reception area and on the rooftop. The room we had was clean and comfortable and we had a room with a balcony and a view to San Felipe Fort. The staff in the hotel were really helpful and friendly and there is a good selection for breakfast too. Great hotel and would be happy to stay there again.

This hotel is absolutely stunning, and I cannot recommend it enough. From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted with exceptional service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that sets the tone for an unforgettable stay. The reason I booked this hotel is due to the five stars on Tripadvisor. I firmly believe that the hotel has found a way delete their negative reviews. However, the staff is very nice and I very much appreciated that. I booked the room over *******, and called and spoke with the Hotel front desk, emphasizing that I needed a quiet room Above All. The manager assured me that I would have a very quiet room. When I arrived at the hotel he said that he upgraded my room at no extra charge. He led me to my room, which was small, nice and had a lovely view of the fort and downtown. However, the room was extremely loud. It was on a street that has party buses that drive-by frequently for a number of hours with blaring, loud, pounding music. I knew there was no way that I would sleep, so I went down to the hotel front desk around 10 PM. The hotel staff gave me another room. It was not at all what the pictures looked like. It was worth potentially $50 per night, not $125. Weird small room. No windows. Bunk beds with a terrible mattress. The paint on the ceiling was cracked in multiple places right above my face on the upper bed. I left the hotel after the first night even though I had paid for two nights. There was no way I was staying there a second night. The hotel manager and owner said they would refund me for the second night, however it has been three days and I have not received a refund . I am very disappointed and no longer trust Trip Advisor. Also, note that regarding the negative reviews for this hotel on TripAdvisor, the hotel staff argues and fights each negative comment. That was a red flag that I ignored. Sad that this how my trip to Columbia ended.

We chose this for our honeymoon and we were very happy with our stay. The staff are amazing and very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and highly recommended is the special which can be ordered in advance. Free fruit and juices , water are provided throughout which is a nice touch and cold hand towels are provided when you come in after a hot day! I also recommend the trip they provide to the local nature reserve where you get a boat ride and drum lessons. We loved our stay .

Very content! Wonderfullu helpful and friendly staff. Especially Julio was exceptionally helpful. He always found the time to answer our many questions on Colombian culture, activiteies in Cartagena and Colombian fruit, there ate so many different! The breakfast was very good! We had a room with castle view. And really liked it. The bed was comfortable.
