This place is simply amazing. My girlfriend and I decided to stay here for the first two nights in Colombia and we couldn’t have been happier with our decision. We stayed in the Africa suite - the room was clean, beautifully decorated, and had so much charm. The bed was comfortable and all the amenities were as advertised. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The staff here is truly what deserves a stellar review. We arrived late and even before our arrival, the owner Marcus had responded to us promptly with info about checking in. When we got there - Franc (François) was waiting for us and gave us a quick and thoughtful tour of the BnB and was so kind and informative with any and every question we had. He made the trip for us. Such a wonderful human being. The next morning we had an amazing breakfast that was cooked to perfection and was greeted by their resident tortoise on the premises - such a cute lil guy, as well as Marcus who was just as welcoming and kind as he was on the phone. When we left, Roman was working and set us up with a cab to the bus station and was equally kind and helpful. I could go on - but just do yourself a favor and book this BnB. I’ll be going back the next time I come back to Cartagena - and any time after that.

Ich habe dieses Hotel kurzfristig gebucht und war wirklich begeistert. Es gab einen kostenlosen Transfer vom Flughafen zum Hotel. Dort angekommen wurde ich von einem sehr freundlichen Mitarbeiter empfangen, ich konnte sogar schon um 8 Uhr morgens einchecken und direkt Frühstücken.
Das Zimmer hat meine Erwartungen bei weitem übertroffen, sehr geräumig und sauber. Obwohl das Hotel mitten drin liegt, bekommt man im Zimmer selber nichts mit, was super angenehm war!
Auf jedenfall eine klare Buchungsempfehlung!

Das Zimmer war winzig klein und nur über eine enge Wendeltreppe zu erreichen. Bad und Dachterrasse waren ebenso nur über steile Treppen zu erreichen. Es gab keinen Platz für das Gepäck. Das winzige Jacuzzi mit losen Kacheln und schmutzige Wasser. Der Preis für war völlig überteuert. Die Hälfte des Preises wäre angemessen gewesen. Die Bad Produkte von Johnson gefielen mir überhaupt nicht. Sie hatten einen unangenehmen Geruch. Warmes Wasser, A/C waren gut. Frühstück nicht sehr abwechslungsreich.

This was a quiet location in Getsamani. The room was very clean and inviting. All of the staff was pleasant and helpful including all your operators and drivers. Breakfast was nutritious and delicious. The shower was great and hot water available. Highly recommend

We spent 1 uncomfortable night at the inn. After a long day of travel to get to Colombia we arrived to the very charming B&B. We stayed in the Afrique room and loved the decor and history! We went out to grab quick dinner and returned. The street had some sort of power outage so after a long, sweaty day in airports we were without AC and very hot and uncomfortable (no windows). No wifi. We managed to fall asleep on the bed that was rock hard. However, we were soon awakened by the guests upstairs on their patio talking loudly until 1am. We woke up to no water to flush toilets.
The pros are that the staff is kind and attentive, the location is great for nightlife. Very close to Plaza de Trinidad with lots of fun to be had. For us, it was not a good fit based on our needs after traveling, but will be a good fit for others.

Perfect location and incredible staff! We loved stepping out in the Getsemani neighborhood to lively music and endless restaurant options. Marcus and his staff happily helped us with airport transportation, local recommendations and a trip to Isla Bela (Rosario Islands). We loved Cartagena and hope to be back again!

Everything about this B&B is thoughtful - the design, the hospitality of the proprietor, host, staff, it's just perfect. It's so close to the heart of Getsemani but absolutely quiet and peaceful at night (so important to me!). The host, Luis, is such a lovely guy, he offered tons of suggestions for the neighborhood and was responsive when I messaged with questions. The breakfast incredible too, what an awesome spread. Highly, highly recommend!
