Really warm welcome and great service. Bar has several local ales on tap and good quality hearty meals which can be taken on the bar or adjacent restaurant. The bar and residents’ lounge have wood burning stoves for a cosy drink after a day walking in the fantastic dales scenery.

Don’t miss out on this pub accommodation place to stay. Great base for walking and day trips out. Apart from that accommodation very comfortable and clean. All the staff where very obliging and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Food first class from the breakfast to the pub menu in the evening. Plenty of choice and specials on. We will definitely be back. Many thanks to all at the Wheatsheaf.

Although we had eaten here a number of times, we had never stayed … that was an omission that we just rectified. We booked three nights recently and The Wheatsheaf is definitely our ‘go to’ place to stay for future Dales visits. We already knew that the food was great but were very impressed with the accommodation. Our room was very comfortable and very clean … and the breakfast was up to the standard of the evening food. It is a very convenient base for touring The Dales with easy access to Hawes and Reeth (each about 20 mins drive) and the Aysgarth Falls (comfortable walk or 5 min drive)

An amazing meal to celebrate a birthday. Food is delicious, freshly cooked, flavoursome and a good selection of dishes. Lots of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free dishes. Prices are very reasonable and staff are welcoming, helpful and kind. 100% recommend here for a meal or drink.

Good location for seeing the Dales We had breakfast and evening meals, both of which were fresh and very good. The staff were friendly and to be seen if any information or advice was required. We would recommend it very highly and we plan to go back as soon as we can.

Lovely friendly hotel , great room , very friendly helpful staff that could nt have been more accommodating great menu and great food and fabulous breakfast . Really dog friendly 10/10 Great walks from the door to Aysgarth falls . A lovely stop on way through to Scotland 🥰

What can anybody say that hasn't allready been said. My wife & I have just returned home from another weekend to remember forever, our 50th Anniversary celebration with all the excellent, service, good food, spotless in every way. Friendly staff and regulars, homely atmosphere and a place dearly run by Claire & Emily, two of the best people in the world. Nothing ever a problem, a place that we love, and frequent as much as we can. Situated idealy in an enviroment to die for. I would more than recomend the Wheatsheaf Inn to anybody, and add it is all the better for the affore mentioned people.

Great place, great staff, great food in fact the best pub meal I have ever had and believe me I've had a few! Highly recommend this place. It's the only pub in the village but the sisters do not rely on that. If there were pubs on every corner I'm convinced they would still be the favourite. Thank you and we will, hopefully, be back to enjoy the beautiful countryside and your great pub/service

Thank you all so much for accodmating our large party on Saturday lunchtime. The food, atmosphere and service were brilliant... helped by the perfect weather and stunning location of course. This was part of a wonderful walk from Aysgarth Falls ... all highly recommended.
