Sehr schönes Boutique Gesthouse mit super Personal an der Rezeption. Sehr gute Tips für Restaurants an der Kloofstreeet und auch die Reservation wurde übernommen. Auch das Zimmer war sehr schön, herziger kleiner Garten und sehr sichere Lage, man kann zu Fuss an die Kloof Street mit super feinen Restaurants. Das Frühstück Büffet fanden wir Mittelmässig, aber es muss auch nicht grösser sein, in Kapstadt gibt es viele feine Restaurants. Wir würden das Guesthouse jederzeit wieder buchen

Wir waren insgesamt 4 Nächte hier und können Welegen House uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Das Zimmer war sehr schön und geräumig, ebenso das Bad. Vom Hinterhaus hat man einen herrlichen Ausblick auf den Tafelberg. Der Staff ist sehr zugewandt und hilfsbereit und kann allerlei organisieren und Tipps geben. Wir haben einen Ganztagesausflug nach Cape Point gemacht sowie eine Ganztageswanderung auf den Judas Peak. Dominic, der Guide, wusste unglaublich viel über die lokale Natur und war tolle Gesellschaft. Das House ist sauber, das Frühstück hervorragend und ist nahe der Kloff St auch sehr gut gelegen.

An amazing welcome from Memory set the tone for our 6 nights. This truly is an exceptional place to stay. Both Memory and Prince made us so welcome and couldn’t do enough to make our stay special. Restaurant recommendations were excellent. Nelson’s Eye for Steak and Black Sheep for seasonal menu. The beds are really comfortable and breakfast just great. We would love to return

We stayed at Welgelegen with our family of 6 and would definitely recommend it! Prince, Memory, Sidney and all the other staff were really lovely and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The location is perfect, very central and close to many good restaurants and Table Mountain. The breakfast buffet was very good and included your choice of eggs. The rooms were very spacious and had plenty of storage space. The communal area felt very cosy and included a small outdoor patio and plunge pool. We had the best time and hope to return one day! Thanks to all the staff for making us feel at home.

We received the warmest of welcomes from Memory! We sat in the beautiful lounge and had a welcome drink and a chat. Prince also came introduced himself and we had a chat too. It was like old friends meeting up, but we had just met them. Wonderful. Our room was huge, with a huge bathroom and a beautiful balcony. The decanter of Port was most welcome for the evenings! Breakfast was great with plenty of choice and the staff were so warm and friendly. The real fire was lovely! Everyday the staff asked what we were doing and offered suggestions of things to do in the wet weather, recommended restaurants etc. They weren’t just a hotel they were also like a travel agents! I wouldn’t stay anywhere else if I visit Cape Town again. Memory is just such a nice, kind person, I will never forget her and my stay here.

Welgelegen House was like a home away from home during a long journey. The large room was comfortable and included a private veranda outside. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the food was quite good. Plenty of refreshments were available throughout the day. Busy Kloof Street was a safe, short walk away. Table Mountain loomed over us. Being an older house, sometime the sound between rooms was evident but not too bad. I hope to return soon!

The Welgelegen House is outstanding in every respect. The property itself is comprised of two classic homes connected by a lovely courtyard. The interior spaces are beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The bedrooms and baths are top notch. The staff are very, very good, from the breakfast service to the front office where Memory offers excellent advice and guidance about time spent in Cape Town. Kloof Street is nearby, safely walkable and lively with good restaurants an beer pubs. We had originally been booked at a nice hotel on the waterfront, but opted to go into this neighborhood and stay at the Welgelegen house. Very happy with our decision and will definitely return.

We stayed at Welgelegen for 7 days after a safari in Botswana so were looking forward to a relaxing time and we were not disappointed. It's a lovely house, very nicely decorated with comfortable clean rooms. The staff are superb and made us feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble. It is in a great location as well, the bars and restaurants on Kloof St are just around the corner. highly recommended. Many thanks for making our honeymoon special.

A realy fantastic place to stay. Beautiful house, nice decoration, super friendly and warm hospitality. Never seen this before. Memory, Prince, Superman they are all so gentle and do an extra mile. Super beautiful room, very clean bathroom. Great breakfast. And a maginficent view on Table Mountain.Safe and good location. We Come back
