Hotel Rec de Palau

Cataques鎮上，在一個上坡路段的別墅區，比較類似度假屋。房間夠大，衞浴潔具均為漢斯格雅級別品牌，床非常舒服，床墊支撐性極好，其他設施稍微偏舊。風景非常非常好，夜晚很安靜，在房間露台就能看到海上日出。服務員不會説英語，交流略困難但是態度熱情，早餐單獨收費，有牛角包橙汁牛奶等，午餐有牛排和魚 會比周邊小店略貴，可以自帶酒水免費開瓶。停車單獨收費。餐廳陳列非常西班牙，很特別，值得住，我們多定了一天。

El personal correcto,, fallo nuestro reservar una habitación estándar ,, la habitación limpia , pero le faltaba balcón . Las ventanas son muy pequeñas. Las estancias peculariales con unas vistas preciosas.

Reviewed: July 18, 2024 A beautiful spot and outdoors with great swimming pools but small rooms Edit The breakfast room had spectacular view and the decor was tastefully done. The swimming pools were lovely Shower was very good The rooms were clean- and were regularly cleaned and fresh towels were placed in the room We got a bottle of local wine as a gift at check out -We were refused to change room in a larger room as a new friend joined us, and we were told that no change was allowed. The same hotel if booked from ******* was fully flexible until a short time before checkin date. This created a major problem for us as we had to find another room in a different hotel for our sister. And because of it we had to go back and forth on a very rough and long path that passed mountains and narrow streets filled with pedestrians several times a day. -Our room was extremely small with a closet that had room for six hangers. Of note, we had paid for the room for seven nights for two ladies. therefore, our clothes were all over the chairs and on our suitcases, photo attached. -The parking rate was listed as 10 euros per night but when we got there the price had increased to 15 euros per night -The breakfast was mediocre at best. while the serving staff were nice, the croissants were soft and soggy, and the coffee was tasteless, while the amount was plenty. Jam and butter came in tiny containers and had no authenticity. - The property had a bad smell upon arrival and when asked it turned out that the hotel management had some air freshener that was quite unpleasant. -Our windows had no screens and mosquitoes were plenty, so despite our wish, we had to sleep in that tiny room with windows closed and air condition on!

Sadly this beautiful place leaves much to desire it’s completely neglected by the owners ! The pools are filthy and not useable and weeds everywhere It’s sad as you can see it could be great ? I think the owners have lost the plot Why they don’t update this place is beyond me ..the WiFi doesn’t work except in garden the APLLIANCES. IN ROOMS SO DATED THEY WENT OUT WITN TNE ark no luxury soaps no water or coffee in rooms I mean seriously have they lost the plot … made me laugh out loud the washing machine

We stayed in the bungalow apartment, and the kids in the connected annex. First, you should be aware that it's not actually connected, you need to go outside to get to the children room which is basically a bunk bed and bathroom with no A/C and no space at all. Our kids are teens so this wasn't a problem, but for younger children it could be an issue. Second, the room is poorly maintained. No WIFI, doors are hard to slide, shower head needs replacement etc. All that said, i still have 5 starts since the view and the pool make up for a lot. The beach is 5 minutes and the center is about 10, on the way back the last part is up hill. Due to this distance, the place is really quiet and tranquil. Would certainly come back.

Beautiful location at the to of the hill. Amazing views and very friendly breakfast and reception staff. We stayed in the duplex and was great to have the pool right outside our door. However be aware it is a 20 minute walk to town town with a climb up the hill to come back. Also they list the property as air conditioned, IT IS NOT!!! Our three bedroom duplex had one barely functioning unit in one of the bedrooms which struggled mightily to keep the one room minimally comfortable. The rest of the unit including the other two bedrooms never got below 31 degrees (90 F) our entire stay. Extremely hard to sleep so please be aware before booking this property!

In spite of being quite far from the sea front, the setting in a terraces up the hillside with views down over the bay means it could be really good. But it isn't. The rooms are mean both in size and furnishings: our double bedroom had nowhere to put a suitcase, a single chair and an open cupboard which was like an IKEA box without its door so all the holes for fixing fittings are visible. Towels are small and thin. The balcony was nice with a view over the distant sea - in spite of the pictures published on various sites, the sea is actually quite far below and the walk down into the centre or to the sea is a good 10 minutes down (and up! ) a very steep hill. Even within the premises there are a lot of stairs everywhere. The junior staff are nice enough but the ones in charge were distinctly unhelpful. It is not value for money.

My wife and I spent a few days in early February in Cadaquès, beautiful unspoilt village in Catalunya. Hotel Rec de Palau is set in a superb location, overlooking the bay. The proprietor Angela was very friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome and comfortable, the staff were also great.
