Ruffles Beach Resort

Stayed here for 3 weeks. We had a fantastic stay whatever you wanted you only had to ask, and you got it. Excellent staff and everyone so friendly from room boys to management rooms basic but comfortable could do with pool bar but saying that only Stayed around pool once as beach only short walk away will definitely be back again thank you everyone at Ruffles for making our stay fantastic 👍

Been over several years and provides consistence service and food. Highly recommended, but need to book. Great for a change from Indian food , although they also do Indian food. Also Colman's mustard, must be good. Inside or outside eating, bur no windows make little difference.

Just returned from 2 weeks at Ruffles and what a great stay it was! Communication before we went with Russel was good. All of the staff from the room cleaners, to restaurant staff, security was great, such a friendly place to eat, sleep and drink. The rooms are basic but are very clean and they have the fluffiest towels we have ever had while staying in Goa! If available, you can choose your rooms. The breakfast was included in our stay with a choice of eggs, toast and tea & coffee. There are also specials every day of the week. If you want a proper breakfast you can pay extra, but the basic breakfast was enough for us. The restaurant has a very good choice of Indian and English. The chicken tikka from the tandoor was the best I had all holiday. We had the three course Christmas Dinner, was perfect apart from the portions being too big, we couldn't manage to eat everything! Sanjay, Ranjan and the rest of the restaurant team were very attentive and made sure we were looked after. Will miss the Irish coffees before bed now we're home. Thank you Russel and team, we will be back in 2025!

Stayed here for two weeks in December. First the negative, rooms are extremely dated and not well maintained. No shower curtain so the toilet gets soaked every time you shower. Sink cracked but not leaking, toilet held together with plumbers mate. We had difficulty using the plug sockets as our two pin adapters just kept falling out. The fridge made an awful banging noise from time to time. Handle missing off the wardrobe, lighting in the room extremely dim. No hospitality tray or kettle. Two pools, neither of which are very well maintained, over the two weeks we have watched a tide mark buildup around the smaller pool which is constantly floating in dead bugs. You only receive two towels (one each)which are of good quality but no smaller hand towels. There is no pool bar at all, if you want a drink then you need to go to reception to order or walk ***** to the restaurant. The positives, the bed was reasonably comfortable, if you want your room servicing hand your key in to reception, the housekeeping guys are lovely and obliging. Sun beds are good and plentiful, gardens are well maintained lots of little bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity, five minutes stroll to the beach. Pool towels are supplied. Breakfast was okay but very basic, eggs anyway plus toast and jam, tea and coffee. Wi-Fi really good both inside the room and outside, we requested more towels and for the electric sockets to be looked at and the fridge fixed, all were done immediately but unfortunately the fridge never got sorted so we just decided to turn it off on a night. Air conditioning was really effective. This is a budget hotel so do not come with massively high expectations but it is fine as a base and very reasonably priced. I can’t help but think they are missing many opportunities to upsell, a waiter walking round both pools seeing if anyone wanted to buy drinks or snacks would be great or a menu of upgraded items for additional purchase at breakfast instead of just being told no. After all, they have a really nice restaurant at the front of the accommodation with many waiters just standing around. The security guards on duty, Raymond and Jerry were both lovely and very helpful. We are staying here in March for two weeks with friends, happy to come back despite the negatives.

Loved Ruffles bar, the food was excellent plenty of selection to choose from, very reasonably priced too. The waiters worked really hard, and pleasant and polite. I would highly recommend this resteraunt, as good place to dine. We eat here most nights, with live back ground entertainment, and some decent karaoke.

Very bad hotel to stay. Rooms are so dirty and lots of bathroom insects every where. No one came to clean the room for 2 days and was smelling very bad please don't suggest this hotel to anyone.
